Reconstructed timeline of The Longest Journey Home
Tome of the Balance artbook (TB in following) contains several references to the events of TLJH:Event | Date | Reference |
April and Crow embark on a journey across Arcadia, "going beyond the Border Mountains and to the far east" | 2209note | TB, p.90 |
April and Crow meet Anna in the Northlands and help her find a new purpose in life | 2209note | TB, p.106 |
April and Crow have a falling out and go separate ways | 2210note | TB, p.90 |
April meets Captain Balsay Bachim while looking for a fast ship and convinces him to abandon his collaborationist ways and to join the rebels | 2215note | TB, p.77 |
Na'ane comes to the Swamp City, meeting Chawan, Captain Bachim, and April | ???? | TB, p.112 |
Likho joins the rebels and has a brief affair with April, which she cuts short | ???? | TB, p.103 |
Based on these glimpses, the pre-Dreamfall part of TLJH would have likely consisted of at least two distinct story arcs: April and Crows' travels immediately after their return from the Guardian's Realm, showcasing her growing bitterness and his increasing dissatisfaction with it (2209 to early 2211), and April's efforts to join the resistance and to build up the colorful cast of rebels we meet in Dreamfall (ca. 2215 and beyond).
