As is the case with all pages detailing Tear Jerkering Moments, Spoilers Off

  • The falling out between Midoriya and Henzu. Sure, Henzu is a sociopathic jerk but he's still the only one who had been by Midoriya's side when even Bakugou refused to do it. Naturally, Midoriya cries in anguish, now that he's all alone.
  • We learn that many of the aliens on Earth are refugees who left their home planets mostly because of all the madness going around the Universe like Vilgax. It's heavily implied by Thirteen and Nezu that, unlike Earth, the other planets didn't have a hero like All Might to protect them.
    • However even when finally finding sanctuary, they can't expose themselves to human society out of fear they would be shunned and threatened.
  • Midoriya learns the harsh truth that a lot of cities, and possibly even small countries, don't have Pro Heroes to protect them because none of them would ever step into places that won't get them recognition.
  • Chapter 38:
    • Hisashi and Inko unknowingly invalidating Izuku's feeling in their belief that Hisashi could return to the Midoriya family and everything would be perfect.
    • Izuku's heartbreak at believing that Hisashi had only returned because he now has a Quirk.
    • Aizawa feeling lost over how to help Bakugou, especially after he learns that he actually caused Izuku to curse at him.
  • Chapter 41:
    • Izuku's growing bitterness towards All Might reaches an all-time high. Not only does he thinks that All Might only cares about him for his quirk but he now learns that the Number One Hero has long thought that he was a pawn of All For One. Calling it Broken Pedestal would be a major understatement.
  • Chapter 44:
    • Ochako's confrontation with All Might concerning the events of the last chapter:
      • She forced herself to go to All Might, in spite of her injuries and the lack of a wheelchair, to confirm her worries from the last chapter.
      • The narrative makes clear how hurt she feels once her worries are confirmed. She is struggling to not cry the whole time, while her breathing and speech are shaky.
      • Now that Ochako knows about All Might's actions regarding Izuku, she states to All Might she won't be upset at him, but she's disappointed in him for how his actions affected Izuku.
      • The reason she chooses to express disappointment over anger is due to how terrifying it was for her to see and experience Izuku's Rage Breaking Point firsthand.
      • What ultimately makes clear to Ochako and All Might Izuku's disillusion with All Might? Ochako giving All Might the autograph he gave to Izuku the first time they met.
    • All Might finally apologizes to Izuku for his accusations and crushing his dreams. However, Izuku isn't ready to forgive his former idol but will try over time.
  • Chapter 60: Izuku and Henzu's bitter animosity towards each other is jarringly contrasted to the friendship they had in the past.
    • And it's obvious from Henzu that he deeply misses his friendship with Izuku.
  • Chapter 64:
    • David's entire reason for being involved in the villain attack was to restore All Might to his strength, with the side objective of wanting to study the Omnitrix and discover a reason to give All Might various powers, with the goal of essentially making All Might a god who could protect the planet from any and all threats from the planet and beyond. However this was completely undermined from the following:
      • Even if he succeeded All Might would have refused, as while Yagi wants to help people, he never sought to become a god.
      • David thought the plan would have actors posing as villains, over real villains being present. Needless he is stunned, Melissa is devastated at her father's actions, and both experience heartbreak when Wolfram shoots Sam, with Sam expressing his confusion about being betrayed by Wolfram and Malware.
    • For the horror he invokes, there is something tragic when Malware speaks of how little care his own father (Azmuth) had for him.
    • Izuku's breakdown after Malware deactivates the Master Control.
    • Izuku's regret and guilt at the end of the chapter, due to believing that he actually killed Malware.
  • Chapter 76:
    • Mina found out that her actions in luring Fun Gus away inadvertently foiled her friends' plan to use him as cover to get away from the Villains, and it hits her hard. The poor girl is in tears, blaming herself for Izuku and Katsuki getting kidnapped by the Vanguard Action Squad.
    • Cinder is just falling apart after losing his son, barely getting any sleep, and looking like a wreck.
    • All Might, whose goal has been trying to find a way to atone for how he treated Izuku at the start of the story is just beating himself up constantly for how many times he's failed Izuku.
  • Chapter 84: Everyone is reeling in pain and misery following the Kamino Ward incident.
    • Magister Nezu desperately pleads to his bosses to mount a rescue of Izuku, if nothing else but to repay Hisashi for years of service, but they all refused to. Hisashi, the same man that gave up years being with his family and risked his life numerous times to protect the Universe, and they all screwed him over.
