Battle For A Trip To Space, also known as BFATTS/BFTTS, is an object camp hosted FANDOM created by user LichiCereza. In it, the contestants battle for, well... a trip to space. Much like any other object camp, the participants take part in challenges where they (usually) have to draw or write about their characters participating in them.
The camp is currently ongoing with 5 seasons released so far. The first season, simply called Battle For A Trip To Space, was released on the BFDI Wiki on October 13, 2021, and it was concluded on November of the same year. The second season, named Battle For A Trip To Space Again, was released on November 11, 2021 and ended on January 12, 2022. There is also an animated series in progress set to release sometime in 2024.
Battle For A Trip To Space provides examples of:
- Anthropomorphic Food: Many characters qualify as this, including Olive, Chips, Tuna Sandwich, Lychee, and Milkshake. Interestingly, despite their name suggesting this trope, Minty is not an example.
- Armless Biped: Typical for an object camp/show, many characters lack arms. There are also several that lack legs, like Heart and A-H.
- Art Evolution: In preparation for the animated series, the season 1 cast was given new official art. Many characters also have their appearances changed over time as their creators redesigned or drew them.
- Butt-Monkey: Loblaws and Chips (especially in early season 5) were often targets for some of the other contestants to bully. Whether or not Loblaws deserves it is debatable, however.
- Cyclops: 1984 from season 5.
- Exactly What It Says on the Tin: The name is very literal, considering it’s a "battle" ...for a trip to space.
- Non-Human Non-Binary: There are a lot of these types of characters since the cast are all Animate Inanimate Objects.
- Overly Long Gag: the intents of the dark strangle me, a forced loop of terror rides on’s name counts as one. Because of this, the host often refers to him as "album guy" or with an abbreviation of his name.
- One-Steve Limit: Downplayed in the season 5 where there exists both a Cheesey and a Cheesy, but prior to this Cheesey existed alone.
- Schedule Slip: Due to being run in real time by one person and a few co-hosts, episodes can be delayed a LOT. Seasons 4 and 5 especially suffer from this. Lampshaded with the season 5 holiday special (which had the challenge results released two months later) where Lychee gets called out for this.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: 1984's rant to Chips in season 5 episode 8 after Chips deadnamed Michelle.1984: alright let me just say everything here: chihiro going saddens me, blocky woman is being a dumbass, and fuck you yellow bag deadnaming is not cool. she did nothing wrong and blocky woman was dead weight to you. quit being such an edgy pissy little shithead and actually learn you dumb trough of shit. no wonder you're a chip bag because you really are an airhead
Chips: Yeah, I feel bad for the deadname. But she's still awful! And Emotegirl was a friend! Just because they didn't help doesn't mean you can't miss them. I mean, you miss Kazoo and Minty, right? Just think of... wait, nobody liked Acorny or Blob Thing anyways.

Chips: Look, I don't handle stress well. I'm really sorry about what I said. I shouldn't have said it, but I did. Yeah, I'm acting like Loblaws. But I hope that unlike him I can actually improve as a person. Because I'm still here (for now) in the running for that prize (which I'm not so sure I even want anymore), and Loblaws is... somewhere.
