The Sims playthrough

  • Phil telling Dil to wake up, calling him a "lazy oaf".
  • The "Mirror Butt" bathroom songs Phil made up whenever Dil took a shower. Once he got a bathtub again, it died off, and never really returned with regularity, and the joke suggestion of "Mirror Boobs" songs for Tabitha was quickly rejected.
  • Griping about what a terrible caterer Mia Yang is ever since she failed to cook food after being hired for a party. When she's hired again for the wedding, she again fails to cook, leading another guest (not hired) to cater for the party. Dan and Phil then complain about Mia celebrating, despite her utter lack of contribution.
  • Dil breaking dishes while trying to clean them due to Dan and Phil's bright idea to give him the "clumsy" trait.
  • Dan and Phil trying to buy something to facilitate a hobby for Dil, but always ending up selling it when they're tight for money and want new furniture.
  • Eliza Pancakes stalking Dil by constantly showing up at his door. Cue the Scare Chord!
  • The citizens of the Sims world randomly doing push-ups and other exercises.
  • Dil's appliances breaking and Dan and Phil debating whether or not they trust him to repair them. Especially the stereo, which could actually kill him if he does it wrong. Culminating in episode 26, where the stereo bursts into flames.
  • Whenever they're editing Dil's house, expect Dan to get frustrated by any lack of symmetry that happens.
  • Dil and Tabitha's frequent alien abductions, leading to Dalien's joining the family, and continuing afterwards. Dan and Phil quickly get used to it, showing boredom and annoyance whenever it happens in later episodes.
  • The Transformation of the Day, the most stable (but still disaster-prone) use of the Sim Ray.
  • Tabitha farting. Also, Tabitha making microwave pastries for herself, and raiding her kids' toy chest to the point where she's used the toys more than her kids have.
  • Dan and Phil unintentionally pausing the game at just the right time to see some really awkward and strange expressions and activites going on in the scene.
  • Dan and Phil ending the episodes after particularly bizarre or hilarious events or revelations, which just so happen to come at the right time for the episode to be ending.
  • Dan noting awkward or strange moments that he relates to, or conversely, noting successful moments for Dil and lamenting that he can't relate.

Undertale playthrough

  • Dan constantly relating to the many pathetic character moments in the game.
  • Dan describing pretty much every significant sequence as an "emotional journey/rollercoaster".
  • Frequent backtracking ever since it led to Easter Eggs.note
  • Dan blatantly disregarding Phil's input on which paths to take.

General/Miscellaneous

  • The obscene heaviness of the "Dan vs. Phil" scoreboard, which they decided to make from a table leaf. Similarly, Dan's boasting that due to his frequent wins there's "no room" for a new victory sticker, and Phil complaining that he just spreads them out more.
  • The Announcement Moose, a little wooden moose with a whistle in its butt, given to Dan as a gift by Phil with the hope it would be used like fanfare to signal any important news. Dan respects it much less than Phil does.
  • Phil calling for an "all or nothing" round when he's clearly lost a competition, and also the fact that he usually wins once the deal is made. Later, Dan calling "all or nothing" in bouts of generosity when he's secured a victory, or just out of a desire to give Phil a taste of his own Sore Loser medicine when he has fairly been beaten.
  • There's also Phil insisting on having a prize or reward (or even a forfeit) when doing an episode of a competitive game that's already had an official Dan vs. Phil round. This insistence on making the game interesting has backfired on him when he loses, either being denied the prize he chose because it was especially appealing to him, the hoped winner, or being forced to accept the forfeit he devised to be unpleasant because he didn't think he would be the one doing it.
  • When things need to be named, "Susan" is their go-to, even when they know it's been overdone.
  • Dabbing in 2016's Gamingmas episodes, which culminates in naming Dil's son Dab because it coincidentally lined up with their typical origin-portmanteu naming pattern.
  • Dan pounding on the table whenever a game infuriates him enough. The Impossible Quiz is the most frequent offender.
  • When Dan is annoyed or weirded out enough by Phil, he'll either walk out of the room or push Phil out of frame.
  • The deterioration of the "DAN VS. PHIL" said at the beginning of every episode in said series, meant to be done in a dramatic slow-motion tone, which turns into indecipherable mumbling and grunting after several videos and is completely unintelligible by now.
  • "Golf with Friends" crashing well into a game, forcing them to recreate their stroke totals in order to effectively resume play, to the point where, a few episodes in, they start to resign themselves to said events happening. Also, the golf-themed golf berets Phil insists on them wearing, despite their discomfort, and the room names and passwords Dan devises for their games.
  • The baby lynxes in Gamingmas 2017, after an attempt to play Shelter 2 went horribly awry, as the babies ended up dying very quickly.
  • "Boob king" as well during that Gamingmas, due to an unfortunate charades guessnote  on Phil's part.
  • Phil trying (and failing) to make Dan jump while the two play horror games...often paired with Dan effortlessly succeeding at making Phil jump.
  • When the channel returned in 2023, viewers took notice of how Dan seems to begrudgingly zone off when Phil does sponsorship segments, especially if it's for a rather trivial product like a mobile game. It's become a subtle bit as Dan increasingly goes out his way to pull exaggeratedly bored/pained/sardonic faces. Another element of the gag is how Dan's supposed disdain for sponsorships never seems to deter companies from wanting to work with them (or him from doing them).
