A mysterious baby shows up on Chata's doorstep and she takes to naming him Baby Pepito, short for José. Vic and Val immediately suspect that something is wrong when the baby displays demon-like qualities and seemingly tries to devour them.

Tropes:

  • Babysitting Episode: Chata challenges her grandsons to prove their maturity by babysitting Baby Pepito. They are torn between wanting to avoid the strange child and wanting to show their grandmother that they’re now grownups.
  • Crocodile Tears: Baby Pepito pouts and cries whenever adults are around to trick them into believing its ruse as an innocent baby.
  • *Drool* Hello: The boys are looking for Baby Pepito in their room when drips of drool fall on top of them as Pepito crawls on the ceiling above.
  • Enfante Terrible: Baby Pepito is demonic-looking, violent, murderous…and also a literal monster.
  • Grossout Fakeout: The boys had just finished changing Baby Pepito’s diaper when he smiles devilishly and immediately begins to fill it again. Val yells that the diaper is about to explode when the scene changes to Chata slopping food onto his plate.
  • Heavy Sleeper: Chata falls asleep so heavily that she doesn’t even notice Baby Pepito performing a demonic ritual on her to try to steal her soul, the boys and Don Jalapeño bursting into the house, Baby Pepito eating Don Jalapeño’s soul, the boys throwing Pepito into the fire, the monster exploding, and all the souls its eaten being released.
  • Kill It with Fire: The boys use their newly acquired babysitting knowledge to capture Baby Pepito and throw him into the fire, after which he explodes in a burst of souls he had previously devoured.
  • Mimic Species: Chaneques mimic human babies to get their victims to lower their guards so they can attack.
  • Monster of the Week: This episode’s monster is the Chaneque, a mimic that eats the souls of its victims.
  • Replacement Goldfish: When the boys tell her they don’t want to be treated like babies anymore, Chata is more than happy to take in the mysterious baby that appears on her doorstep.
  • Soul Eating: This is Baby Pepito’s goal, as Chaneques devour the souls of their prey, leaving them as nothing but an Empty Shell.
  • Tongue Trauma: While Val is sleeping, Baby Pepito pries open his mouth with his sharp fingernails, grabs his tongue, and stretches it out of his mouth.
