Original Airdate (Twitch): October 24, 2020:

Having won a map from The Pumpkin King leading to a den of werewolves, the team goes forth while fleeing from ghouls.

"Do we have a Plan B?" "Run."

  • Aggressive Negotiations: Kapnos' first attempt to parlay with the werewolves quickly leads to combat when they see a scrape he took from a recent battle against the ghouls and assume he's turned. Some intimidation and de-arming later, they get an audience with their Alpha.
  • Crisis of Faith: After the events of the previous episode, in which Grymharl falsely presumed safety in the church by the mark of her god, her trust in the divine is shattered.
  • Deal with the Devil: Grymharl, knowing that the artifact possessed by the werewolves will help the others return home, offers her servitude in exchange for their help.
  • Going Native: It's learned, via his lack of a Barovian accent and familiarity with both Sophia and the mists, that the Werewolf Alpha was originally an outsider as well.
  • I Choose to Stay: Grymharl considers staying in Barovia to repent for the sins she finally acknowledged during the Pumpkin King's game, though she doesn't share this with the party until after pledging to serve the werewolves to gain their help.
  • Large and in Charge: The Werewolf Alpha stands at eight feet tall, larger than even Grymharl the Minotaur.
  • Mercy Kill Arrangement: Wihakayda asks Grymharl that, if she stays in Barovia with the werewolves to repent for her past, she will be the one to end Wihakayda when her "needs" eventually turn her feral.
  • Sadistic Choice: The players realize they've given one to Ray after he recognizes the Revive spell components, with his options being to either go through with their plan or to betray the others and bring his boyfriend back.
  • Terrible Artist: When first discussing what to do when Strahd Jr. decides to punish them for their earlier deception, Ray pulls out a plan he made back at the inn. Said plan is three sketches of stick figure versions of the team luring the vampire lord to the bottom of a cliff and dropping a large rock onto him.
  • Undeath Is Cheap: The werewolves' plan is using the "artifact" stolen from Castle Ravenloft, a treasure chest containing rare and valuable spell components, to "Revive" Strahd Jr., turning him from undead to mortal and killable.
