Slimer is about to watch TV with a sandwich, when Peter yells at him, revealing that it was made with all the food in the fridge. He complains that food costs money and Slimer should get a job, which Slimer agrees to do. Meanwhile, Dweeb is showing a diagram of Slimer to Elizabeth. He also shows a machine he made to suck up slime.
Slimer is now looking for a job, so Luigi hires him. Slimer is asked to wash the dishes, so he does so with his tongue. When Rafael (Luigi's boss) sees Slimer doing this, he gets angry and fires him. Luigi pays Slimer anyway, then Dweeb tries to catch him in a restaurant. However, he instead sucks up all the food (since it was covered in gravy) and gets thrown out.
Rudy hires Slimer as a dogwalker, but the dogs pull when they try to chase a cat. They end up in a zoo, and Dweeb and Elizabeth pursue them on a mobile treadmill. Dweeb tries to catch Slimer, but accidentally gets a gorilla who got slimed. The gorilla yells at Dweeb and Elizabeth, so the machine and car run away of their own accord. Slimer returns the dogs to Rudy, who pays him.
Peter buys more food and is stocking the fridge, when Slimer gives him the money. However, he then hears singing outside and decides to convince him to give the money back.
