Film: Bobblehead The Movie

We remembered these tropes so you don't have to:

  • Actually Pretty Funny: The Critic thinks that the scene in where Binky locks her husband in their car's trunk has the movie's only funny line.
  • Advertised Extra: Invoked. The Critic points out that Cher receives top billing in the movie's DVD cover despite only having a cameo in the film proper and in the Dance Party Ending.
  • Big Damn Heroes: see Brick Joke below.
  • Brick Joke: at one point, The Critic compares the movie centering on the bobbleheads rather than the roller coaster designers to making a movie that starts with Superman and instead centers on his nail clipper. Guess who later saves the Critic from Bobblehead Malcolm at the end of the review.
  • Call-Back: The episode starts with the Critic sniffing liquid shit and guessing to which crappy film he previously reviewed tastes like, with a few notable examples being Rapsittie Street Kids and The second animated Titanic movie.
  • Take That!:
    • When the dog appears for the first time in the movie, the critic tells the viewer that its bad CGI movie will come soon enough, reffering to DC League of Super-Pets, which at the time, the teasers for it had received pretty negative feedback from viewers for its humor.
    • When Binky assures her husband Earl that his brother wouldn't leave them at the porch, the critic thinks the opposite, considering that Earl is voiced by one of the Wilson brothers.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The Critic's first complaint about the movie. He thinks that the plot about the roller coaster designers is very interesting, so he considers it "teasing" that the film would reather center on the bobblehead toys.
