"Fright Bite"

The Morticians find out their newest neighbor may be a vampire, and decide to make him become a vampire.
  • Actually Not a Vampire: Turns out the "vampire" was just the casting director for "Vampires of Melancholia" and fully human to the disappointment of the club.
  • Ascended Fanboy: The Mortician's Club get to appear in Vampires of Melancholia as vampires.
  • Day in the Limelight: The Mortican's Club get more of a focus here.
  • Eye Scream: Dante gets ketchup squirted in his eyes, and since he's wearing contacts, it's extra painful for him.
  • Grave Humor: Boris falls in a grave while at the cemetery.
  • Left the Background Music On: Done a couple times with Boris and his keyboard.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The title of this episode is a pun on Fright Night (1985).
  • Transhuman Treachery: Within the "Vampire of Melancholia" show, the club members are "turned" and more than happy to leave their mortal lives behind.
  • Vampire Episode: Sorta. It's believed the neighbor to be a vampire and the Mortican's Club investigates on if it's true or not.
  • You Just Ruined the Shot: The Mortician's club decide to tackle the vampire in order to force him to turn them into vampires, but it turns out he's actually the casting director of Vampires of Melancholia and they were in the middle of filming the show.
  • Younger Than They Look: Boris is only nine years old, but due to his great height and bald head, the director of Vampires of Melancholia mistakes him for Lucy's grandfather.

"The Loudly Bones"

Lisa finds the fused bones from last year's Thanksgiving turgooseon in the backyard, which get mistaken for a dinosaur bone and catapult her to a scientific celebrity.
  • Book Ends: Near the start, and at the end, Lisa tells Todd to commence "cleaning protocol" (to clean the bone at the start and fix the broken T. rex skeleton at the end), only for Todd to whip out a hose and spray her.
  • Call-Back: The dinosaur bone Lisa discovers is really a turkey bone, goose bone, and chicken bone, from Lynn Sr.'s Thanksgiving turgooseon from "The Loudest Thanksgiving".
  • Cheaters Never Prosper: Dr. Alvarez wants to do a paleontology episode of Lisa's show using the dinosaur bone she discovered. Not wanting to be exposed, Lisa and Todd break into the museum and replace the turgooseon bone with a T-Rex bone. When filming, the fake bone gives way causing the T-Rex to collapse. Lisa pushes Dr. Alvarez to safety but is nowhere to be seen. Lisa thinks she's buried and possibly crushed to death. Lisa cries over her fraudulent discovery. Dr. Alvarez is angrily confused and wants an explanation. Lisa is forced to come clean. Her show gets cancelled and needs to earn back Alvarez's trust. However, she's allowed to give tour guides in the museum to continue getting kids interested in science.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The episode title is a pun on The Lovely Bones.
  • Series Continuity Error: In "The Loudest Thanksgiving", Lynn Sr. states that the turgooseon is a combination of turkey, goose, and pigeon. Here, it's a combination of turkey, goose, and chicken.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Lana had used Lisa's dating machine on some cream puffs causing them to get inside the machine and make it malfunction.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Lisa decides getting other kids interested in science is worth lying about the bones.
