"Let me do some quick calculations. According to my math, there's a 0% chance the boys don't wang this one up. It's The Adventure Zone!"
The Announcer

Could you resist the power to go back and change your very worst mistake? What if it meant unraveling some of the non-mistakes you've made since? Also: Imagine, for the sake of this hypothetical, that you're a complete goober. Merle runs out for smokes. Taako takes the show on the road. Magnus goes home.

Tropes

  • Arranged Marriage: Merle, and it wasn't a happy one.
  • Break Them by Talking: Instead of the usual Wisdom saving-throw to resist the Chalice's thrall, the Chalice tries to convince the team to use its power just by offering them a deal.
  • Friend-or-Idol Decision: Each hero could use the Chalice to change a traumatic moment in their past, but they'd have to forfeit their involvement in the Bureau (and likely leave the other two to fail in their missions).
  • Happily Ever After: Magnus' marriage to Julia was supposed to be this. The Chalice tells him explicitly that he earned it by leading the revolution against the corrupt governor.
  • I Can Live With That: (Type 2) Taako finds out he wasn't directly responsible for the poisoned food that ruined his cooking-show career.
  • Lost Lenore: Magnus' wife, Julia. Everything he does now, he does to make her proud.
  • What You Are in the Dark: Re-writing history with the Chalice means nobody would know their choice after the current timeline is erased.
