To get their ball back after it accidentally breaks Porkrind's shop window, he sends Cuphead, Mugman, and Chalice on a delivery run to Ribby & Croaks' Fly Trap. After their previous encounter, however, they are going to need to be inconspicuous so the frogs don't recognize the two boys.
Tropes:
- Accidental Truth: Porkrind tells Cuphead and Chalice that their roles are as secret assassins. Unknown to all of them (at least to Porkrind at the time) they really have been put up to secret assassin work in a roundabout way by Jerry.
- Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: While it's revealed that the frogs have been trying to bump each other off, especially with the explosive shoes, they find this endearing nonetheless and give each other a big hug.
- Becoming the Mask: Mugman is forced to be a washed-up dancer named Tallulah, while his friends pretend to be "secret assassins", but it doesn't take long for him to get into character and almost ruin the delivery.
- The Bus Came Back: The Devil's periscope makes its first appearance since the very first episode of the show.
- Conscience Makes You Go Back: After learning from Jerry about the contents of the package intended for Ribby, Porkrind doesn't seem to care if Cuphead and the others get blown up. Soon, his guilt gets the best of him and he takes the package back, only for it to blow up in his face.
- Only Sane Man: Surprisingly, Cuphead serves as this in the episode being the only one that wanted to deliver the shoes properly while Mugman and Chalice wanted to keep them for themselves to the point of fighting over them.
- Tempting Fate:
- Chalice plans to sneak in and take the ball back after it flies through Porkrind's window. Unfortunately, he has already spotted them and has them work off the damages by making them deliver the package dropped off to him.
- At the end of the episode, after getting their baseball back, Chalice remarks that "All's well that ends well", unaware that The Devil is watching her and the Cups.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: After the shoes explode Porkrind's shop, the Devil sees the commotion at Porkrind's and Porkrind's offhanded comment "I hate those cups." allows the Devil to see Chalice hanging out with the cups and begin plotting a new scheme.
- Wham Line: An epilogue shows a brief cameo of the Devil, wondering what the commotion is about and spotting (and recognizing) Ms. Chalice.The Devil: Well, well, well... Hello again, Ms. Chalice. Friends with those two, are we? This will be very useful indeed. (Evil Laugh)
- Your Television Hates You: To keep his mind off sending the Cups and Chalice to their doom, Porkrind turns on the radio on a horse race, but the names of the horses just remind him of what he's done.Announcer: Coming down the track is Baby Go Boom! Followed by Flaming Limbs! And in third is Blown to Bits! Behind him is Horribly Disfigured! And Charred Carcass is pulling up the rear!
