Recap / The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You Ch 128

Go To

Hahari is telling the family about Fall Kids, a survival playground theme park. Having acquired a ticket for any number of people, she invites the five in front of her (Kusuri, Chiyo, Suu, Momiji, and Shizuka) to the park. She and Yaku will go as their guardians.

Suu protests that she doesn't really care about that sort of thing, but agrees when Rentarou and Ahko say they want to see.

On the big day, Rentarou notices that Yaku isn't among the guardian audience. Ahko speculates that she went to the restroom, but when the 100 Fall Kids come onstage in big, pudgy animal costumes, Yaku is among them, having been ushered in with the players after being mistaken for a child.

The announcer declares that everything at the park is made with special cushioning (provided by the Serious Group to obliterate any impact), so the players shouldn't feel worried about falling. If a player makes it through all seven courses, they win a Pentarou doll wearing their costume.

The first course is to match the host's pose. All six of the girls successfully do so as Ahko claps. Rentarou and Hahari are so struck by the cuteness that they give up the ghost.

The second course has participants making their way through a road filled with fluffy pillows as they're pursued by a sticky wall. The mess of pillows irritates Chiyo to the point where she rushes in organizing them into neat piles, creating a clear path for them to pass through.

Stage three is the Spring Snatch - participants jump on a trampoline to grab an apple from a tree. Suu isn't able to reach it, but Shizuka ends up bouncing so high that she ends up IN the tree, allowing her to drop apples to rest of the group.

Stage four is Sleepy Street - participants have to move through the titular street filled with Serious Sleeping Aromatic. Chiyo, Momiji, Suu, and Shizuka end up falling asleep, causing Hahari and Rentarou to turn into blobs. Kusuri and Yaku, on the other hand, have built up an immunity to such things, enabling them to simply drag their teammates along. Yaku notices when Suu wakes up and assures her that it's not much farther.

On stage five, participants must cross a bridge while avoiding the giant fruits tumbling at them. Suu narrowly avoids a fall thanks to Momiji catching her. This puzzles her, since it's not a team sport. Momiji tells her that while she's not wrong, it'll be more fun if they all win together.

On stage six, participants have to stand on the number called out by the host. They have to memorize the numbers quickly, however. Suu has no issues with these, but the others are struggling. Suu shouts out the answer, letting them get in place just in time. She leads them to each answer, allowing all of them to make it through the stage.

For the final stage, participants have to hold on to pillars in the face of large gusts of wind and balls getting fired at them. Shizuka is hit and nearly falls, only to be caught by Suu. She urges Suu to let go so they don't both fall, but Suu echoes Momiji's words that it'll be more fun if they all win together. Not that she knows anything about that.

Suu slips, only to be caught by Kusuri, who herself is being held by her feet by Chiyo and Yaku, who are using their other hands to hold onto Momiji's feet. Momiji, meanwhile, has an iron grip on the soft pillar. They manage to hold on through the time limit, leaving all six of them as the winners. Momiji releases her grip and the group falls.

The group proudly show off their dolls to Ahko, who is dragging the blobs that used to be Rentarou and Hahari.

Tropes:

  • Achievements in Ignorance: Yaku proves quite an able competitor despite not realizing she's been mistaken for a contestant even by the time the game has ended.
  • Advancing Wall of Doom: The second stage has a sticky one as an obstacle.
  • Cuteness Overload: The first stage alone causes Renatarou and Hahari to give up the ghost. By the time the game is over, they've melted into smiling blobs.
  • Giant Food: The obstacle in the fifth stage. Kusuri notes that such a sight would cause Kurumi to ascend to a higher plane.
  • Giving Up the Ghost: Happens to Rentarou and Hahari during the first stage at the sight of the player group posing. The second pose makes their ghosts pop.
  • Knockout Gas: The obstacle in the fourth stage. Yaku and Kusuri don't have any issue with it since they've built up an immunity, but the other four fall asleep, forcing them to drag them along.
  • Plot Tailored to the Party: Each challenge has an element that enables one of the girls to overcome it using their own unique quirk.
