Dan Lyons, the hero's identity from the comics, is made into a separate character only posing as the real Black Marvel, while his true identity in the show is revealed to Omar Mosely, who was a Afro-American friend and chauffeur of Lyons. The split is explained as being necessary because A: Lyons' father didn't want to risk his son's life on the untested Super Serum, and B: people wouldn't have accepted a black superhero in those days, so Mosely got the treatment and Lyons became his Secret-Keeper.
  • Exact Words: The Kingpin tells the heroes will let go of Robbie, who he is holding hostage, in exchange for the two keys to the Doomsday Weapon. After the Kingpin gets them, and he and the Insidious Six make their escape by helicopter, the Kingpin reveals that he is going to release Robbie while he is up in the air. Luckily, the Black Marvel is able to catch him.

While Captain America believes they stopped the Red Skull before he could charge the robots, the next episode reveals the Robots are not the real doomsday weapon.
  • Good All Along: Silver Sable and the Wild Pack. While Silver is a mercenary, it is revealed that her father founded a group to hunt World War 2 criminals like the Red Skull, and she reveals how to stop the Red Skull's doomsday weapon.

The next episode reveals that's not the case.
  • Nazi Hunter: Silver Sable reveals to Spider-Man that the Wild Pack specializes in hunting down Nazi war criminals, a group that was founded by her father.
  • Race Lift: Thanks to the use of Decomposite Character, as noted above, Black Marvel is now Omar Mosley, an African-American man. Dan Lyons, who was Black Marvel in the comics, was white in both.

  • The Reveal: The Chameleon is the traitor in in the Insidious Six, and is the adoptive son of the Red Skull, who created the Chameleon's image changing belt, and foster brother of Rheinholdt, whom he was secretly working together with to free the Red Skull.

After the Kingpin gets however, he releases Robbie from his helicopter, to make him fall a couple stories, which would most likely kill him.
