Recap / Sons Of Anarchy S 3 E 11

Go To

SAMCRO try to get to Jimmy O, while Jax is still trying to bring him in alive for Stahl and also get Abel back. Meanwhile, in Charming the remaining Sons try to get Unser and his people to help them capture Salazar, and Jacob Hale attempts to undercut their authority.

  • Boom, Headshot!: Jimmy kills Sean Casey the same way he killed his brother.
  • "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: Clay tells Father Kellan that nothing would've happened if he told them where Abel is the moment they got to Belfast.
  • Happily Adopted: Jax looks on as Abel's adopted parents are clearly happy to have him and treat him nicely, having a realization that maybe it's best to leave him with them.
  • Heel–Face Door-Slam: Father Kellan exchanges places with Abel, knowing full well that he's going to get killed by Jimmy.
  • Heel Realization: Jax thinks that it's better to leave Abel with a father that doesn't kill or torture anyone before Gemma makes him snap out of his funk.
  • Hostage Situation: Jimmy takes Abel hostage after killing his adopted parents, later exchanging him for Father Kellan.
  • Mama Bear: Gemma goes to extreme lengths to get Abel back, such as pointing a gun to a toddler's head.
  • My Sister Is Off-Limits: Jax subtly tells Bobby not to get involved with Trinity.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: Jax tells Father Kellan straight to his face that Father never cared about the Teller family, neither did John Teller.
  • Slashed Throat: Tara kills Salazar's girlfriend by cutting her throat with a piece of ceramic tile and leaving her to bleed out.
  • Stranger in a Familiar Land: John Teller tells Maureen in his letters that he feels completely lost in Charming, seeing as Gemma gets closer to Clay and is disappointed in him.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Tara becomes more assertive, attacking Salazar's girlfriend and keeping him at gunpoint to make him let Margaret leave.
  • Variations on a Theme Song: The show's title theme is given a distinctly Irish flavor in this episode, with tin whistles and guitars.
