Recap / Regular Show S 04 Ep 27 Trailer Trashed

Go To

Muscle Man tries to save his trailer after it fails a health inspection, but the inspector isn't quite who he seems to be.

  • Big "WHAT?!": The Park workers let out one of these when Muscle Man reveals that his trailer was never in the truck at all, and it was at the park being guarded by Hi-Five Ghost the entire time.
  • Clark Kenting: Frank reveals who he really is by taking off his glasses, with Muscle Man expressing shock towards him coupled with dramatic music.
  • Decoy Convoy: The climax of the episode has Muscle Man and the others trying to get the trailer across the border in Muscle Bro's truck to keep it away from Frank. But it turns out the trailer was never in the truck at all. Muscle Man kept it hidden back at the park with Hi-Five Ghost guarding it the whole time. He didn't tell anyone but Muscle Bro about it in order to make sure Frank was tricked.
Rigby: Remind me never to touch Muscle Man's stuff.
  • The Dog Bites Back: Exaggerated. Frank and his crew destroy Muscle Man's trailer after the park team attempts to fix it up, causing Muscle Man to punch him directly in the face as he tells Frank his crew isn't taking his trailer. Later, towards the end of the episode, Muscle Man puts his shirt onto the steering wheel and removes the accelerator from Muscle Bro's truck, rendering it unable to drive and leaves Frank in there to die for everything he has done to him.
  • Everyone Has Standards: While Mordecai and especially Rigby are irresponsible slackers, they both call out Thomas, alongside the rest of the park, for trying to get paid extra to help Muscle Man defend his trailer.
  • Foreshadowing: In Muscle Man's flashback of the hot dog eating contest, there's another man passed out at the table. He's revealed to be Frank Jones, the health inspector.
  • Kick the Dog: Played straight initially as Frank not only threatens to send Muscle Man's trailer to the dump and get it scrapped, but when he gives him and his friends a whole day to spruce the trailer, Franks starts to destroy parts of Muscle Man's trailer, from the windows to his door. Subverted, however, as Muscle Man eventually stands up to Frank by decking him in the face.
  • Shout-Out: The thugs working for Frank and their vehicles look like they all came out of a Mad Max movie. Frank himself even wears a mask in tribute to the Lord Humungous.
  • Sore Loser: Frank is after Muscle Man's trailer because he accuses him of having cheated in the hot dog eating contest by using water to mush his hot dogs together, with Muscle Man protesting that it was totally a fair move and that the Japanese do it all the time.
  • True Companions: Hilariously averted with Thomas. While the rest of the park help Muscle Man because he's their friend, Thomas tries to get paid extra for it.
  • Villain Has a Point: While Frank is obsessed with getting his hands on Muscle Man’s trailer, he wasn’t completely lying about it being in poor condition.
