The Rangers are introduced to a newly built Zord along with some horrible truths on its developers, while Evox and his team plot to steal it for themselves.
Episode Tropes
- As You Know: Evox spends the first minute or so of the episode gloatingly recapping the events of "The Blame Game".
- The Atoner: Megan spends the whole episode trying to apologize to Nate and Zoey for what she did.
- The Bus Came Back: Megan, the worker who blackmailed Zoey and tried to usurp Nate in "Sound and Fury", returns in this episode.
- Call-Back: Zoey brings up how Megan tried to blackmail her back in Season 1.
- The Cassandra: Megan tries to warn Zoey and Nate that their first plan to get the King Zord back under control won't work. Not surprisingly, they don't trust her.
- From Bad to Worse: Nate's first plan to get the King Zord under control instead causes it to assume Battle Mode.
- Jurisdiction Friction: As it turns out, General Burke is technically not a member of Grid Battleforce. He just works in conjunction with them. This is why Commander Shaw is irked when he reveals that he and Mayor Daniels have been secretly building a new Zord without Grid Battleforce's knowledge.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Evox was the one behind the creation of the King Zord, with plans to get control and mass produce it. In the end, all he did was give his enemies a new powerful weapon to use against him.
- Oh, No... Not Again!: Robo-Blaze's reaction when Devon destroys him and his Megazord for the second time.
- Reformed, but Rejected: Nate and Zoey initially don't trust Megan, no matter how much she tries to prove she has changed.
- The Scapegoat: Evox hired Megan not only for her technical expertise, but because her history with Nate and Zoey made her a convenient scapegoat for the King Zord's eventual hijacking.
- Spanner in the Works: The only factor that prevented Evox's plan to get control of the King Zord was an atoning Megan. For irony, he was the reason she was even there.
- Tranquil Fury: When the Rangers get the King Zord back under control, Evox manages to force a very unconvincing smile, before leaving the control room without a word.
