With a little help from friends, Kipo breaks the chains of mind control as chaos comes to the coronation. Will she sacrifice it all to save everyone?

Tropes:

  • 11th-Hour Superpower: Kipo discovers a second stage of her Mega Jaguar form, sprouting extra limbs, tails, and growing several times larger so she has the strength to tip over Scarlemagne's tree.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Song and the humans in Scarlemagne's control are freed, Kipo managed to turn back human thanks to her friends and Scarlemagne is now held captive by the Timbercats. However Song is still stuck as a mega monkey and Dr. Emilia managed to meet up with the escaped humans, offering them the chance to help her revert Mutes back to normal animals, with most of the humans being on board after the horror they experienced. Dr. Emilia also possesses Song's notebook to aid her in with this goal.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Kipo suspected she might not be able to talk Scarlemagne down, so she had Mulholland sneak in so he could counteract the pheromones.
  • Convection, Schmonvection: Although all the characters in the arena happen to be standing very close to molten hot gold that is rising by the minute, none of them are suffering any effects that would come from being so close to molten gold.
  • Damn You, Muscle Memory!: After her main weapon, Stalky, is destroyed by Dr. Emilia, Wolf has a hard time, fighting Scarlemagne's mooks.
  • Face Death with Dignity: The Timbercats are the only Mutes who aren't panicking as they are about to be submerged in liquid gold.
  • Gagging on Your Words: Wolf has a hard time asking for help, as evidenced when she struggles in the fight with Scarlemagne's minions.
Dave: Why are you saying (help) weird?
Wolf: Because I've never asked for it before!
  • Good-Times Montage: When Kipo listens to her friends singing in her mindscape, she starts to remember every happy moment she had with them over the course of the series.
  • Heel Realization: Implied. While the Timbercats take him away, Scarlemagne looks so shocked and sad after realizing that Kipo, instead of running away and saving herself, was willing to give up her own humanity for the Mutes' sake, included himself, the one who endangered her loved ones and her people.
Scarlemagne: (calmly) “You could’ve escaped. But you were willing to get stuck in the jaguar... for a colosseum full of Mutes?”
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Kipo goes Mega Jaguar even after her anchor is burned so she can save the mutes from the rising tide of molten gold. Thankfully, her friends are able to bring her back.
  • Morality Chain: It turns out that Kipo’s loved ones are the only reason why she can change from human to Mega Jaguar and vice versa without losing her humanity.
    Benson: We are the anchor.
  • Pig Latin: Kipo speaks some when her mother comes to her aid.
Kipo: Now, time for Operation Ave-say Umans-hay! Save the humans.
  • The Power of Friendship: Even with her anchor destroyed, Kipo is brought back to her human form thanks to her friends.
  • Save the Villain: Lio hauls Scarlemagne to safety when he's knocked out trying to flee and lands near the molten gold.
  • Title Drop: The “Heroes On Fire” song is sung again in order to bring Kipo back to normal.
  • Wide Eyes and Shrunken Irises: Kipo gets these just before the Good-Times Montage.
