Kenan and Kel try to arrange some stuff for Roger and Sheryl's anniversary party.
- Digging Yourself Deeper: Kel inadvertently lets it slip that the jewelry store owner, Roger's friend who was seen back in "Diamonds Are For Roger", wasn't invited to the anniversary party. Kenan tries to run damage control by playing it off as an innocent oversight due to last minute planning, only for Kel to correct him. Considering the jewelry owner considered Roger a lifelong friend, enough to not press charges the time Kenan and Kel broke into the store and just made them pay to fix the ceiling, he has every right to be offended.
- Dumbass Has a Point: Kel is the first to acknowledge that Chris' wording of the sale leaves a lot open to interpretation, such as whether items where the first letter of the second word starting with an S qualifies. Even Sharla recognizes his point, but Chris brushes it off since Kel never pays for his orange soda anyways. This doesn't stop customers from trying to abuse the sale for all they can.
- Grand Romantic Gesture: Subverted. Sheryl thinks Roger hiding the bracelet in the cake was this making him look amazing to the partygoers. It was really just an accident caused by Kenan and Kel. It's never shown if she found that part out.
- Insane Troll Logic: A customer tries to cheat the store for a discount despite getting nothing starting with the letter "S". He justifies himself by claming pepper is a seasoning and his can of tuna is small, descriptions starting with the letter "S". Another customer uses a similar justification for turkey, claiming it is sandwich meat.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Sharla is remorselessly late to fill in for Kenan, despite Kenan for once having legitimate reason to leave the store early, and rubs it in. After Kenan leaves, she's stuck with the same customers trying to abuse the sale she left Kenan with.
- Misplaced Retribution: Kenan is grounded for the mess in the kitchen, which was actually the fault of Kel.
- Say My Name: In the outro, Roger shouts for Kenan, as the latter is grounded for the kitchen being wrecked.Kenan: He grounded me 'til next week's show. In fact, I'm not even supposed to be up here right now.
Roger: (offscreen) KENAN!!! - Swapped Roles: Kenan is actually the one working hard at Rigby's while Sharla is the one slacking off and being late.
