Go To

Quack Quack's yogurt gets stolen, and Mr. Cat leads an investigation into the matter. The problem is, everyone is convinced that Mr. Cat himself is the perpetrator.

"Let's Play Cops and Robbers" contains the following tropes:

  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: Mr. Cat explains why he thinks Quack Quack himself was the culprit:
Mr. Cat: Who alone eats yogurt?
Who rips the tops off of those poor cups everyday?
Who has jelly on his underwear?
  • Blowing a Raspberry: Quack Quack blows a raspberry at Mr. Cat just to annoy him...
  • Bullying a Dragon:... while forgetting that Mr. Cat is a position where he can legally hurt him. Cue Mr. Cat going all out on him.
  • Chekhov's Gun: Mr. Cat gives Stumpy a banana as a "weapon". At the end of the episode during a car chase scene with Stumpy pursuing Mr. Cat, Stumpy launches the banana, which gets stuck in Mr. Cat's nose and causes him to lose control of the car.
  • Dirty Cop: Mr. Cat.
  • Free Prize at the Bottom: Stumpy buys a box of cereal just for the free cop hat that comes with it. He even rips the box to shreds and drops the cereal on the ground since all he wanted was the prize.
  • Furry Reminder: Kaeloo finds a hole in a yogurt container and concludes that Mr. Cat made it because he's the only one with claws.
  • Hand Signals: Quack Quack uses these to try to communicate with Stumpy, who has no idea what he's saying.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: See Chekhov's Gun above.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Mr.Cat unfairly accuses Quack Quack if stealing his own yogurt and enacts severe Police Brutality on Quack Quack. When all evidence is stacked against him, he is the one who ends up being questioned. When he tries to escape, Stumpy stops him long enough for Bad Kaeloo to beat a confession out of him.
  • Not Me This Time: Mr. Cat wasn't the one who stole the yogurt. It was ants.
  • Overly Long Gag: Quack Quack's attempts to tell Stumpy what happened with Hand Signals.
  • Perp Sweating: Mr. Cat does this to Quack Quack while trying to get him to confess to a crime he obviously didn't commit. In order to be more cruel, he turns up the lights so much that they actually burn Quack Quack, and then he decides to slam him on the head with a book each time he claims to not be guilty.
  • Police Brutality: Mr. Cat is extremely harsh towards Quack Quack and repeatedly hits him for not confessing to a crime Quack Quack insists he had nothing to do with.
  • This Banana is Armed: Mr. Cat gives Stumpy a banana instead of a gun. This bites him in the ass later on when Stumpy uses it to incapacitate him when he escapes long enough for Bad Kaeloo to stop him in his tracks.
