The Chans and Tohru travel to India to find the Nobel Snake, which turns out to be a baby cobra still in its egg.
- Bad Boss: When the Enforcers come back empty-handed and claim the snake is simply invisible, Dalong Wong conjures up a giant snake to eat the three of them.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Tohru's mother said it word-for-word when she overheard Tohru saying that sometimes he wished she disappeared.
- Drunken Boxing: Jackie uses this against the Enforcers after being rendered delirious from a venomous snake bite, since alcohol couldn't be used or mentioned in a kid's show.
- Honor Before Reason: Tohru follows his mother's orders not to fight the Enforcers, even though it's obvious he's the only one that can take them on with Jackie suffering from a snake bite. He does try to subvert this later on when he attempts to convince her to let him fight Chow ("the skinny one"). Fully subverted when Chow tries to attack her.
- Hypocritical Humor: Despite telling Tohru's mother not to look at herself in the mirror to see herself with reptilian skin after she's being made visible again, Uncle is seen snickering on her reaction to her new form.
- Invisibility: Tohru's mother dips the snake egg in her tea transferring its invisibility power to her.
- Invisible Jerkass: Until the Dark Hand arrives, she uses her new invisibility to prank Uncle. She messes with his and Jade's mahjong pieces so Jade wins, moves a chair out of the way when he's about to sit and blows wind in Uncle's face.
- Mama Bear: Tohru's mother chooses to remain invisible to protect Tohru. Inverted when some kind of yellow-green substance splashes on her making her visible to Chow allowing him to attack, only to be stopped by Tohru.
- Misplaced Retribution: Tohru's mother believes Uncle made her invisible on purpose, and spends time pulling pranks on him.
- Momma's Boy: Tohru gets mocked by the Enforcers for deferring to "Mommy" and not putting up a fight. When Chow tries to attack her, however, Tohru is done hanging back.Tohru: Nobody touches my mommy.
- Non-Action Big Bad: Dalong remains in his lair for this episode.
- Not Helping Your Case: Assuming the lizard skin is like the one Jackie received in Season 1, Tohru's mother would've calmed down if Uncle simply told her that it peels right off. Instead, he tells her that all antidotes must contain garlic.
- "Oh, Crap!" Smile:
- Tohru when Uncle finds out he invited his mother along for this trip.
- Chow when he sees Tohru is done staying on the sidelines.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Uncle is partially responsible for Jackie getting bit by a cobra when he screams at the sight of Tohru's mother, distracting Jackie.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Tohru's mother calls out Uncle for making Jackie get close to a cobra and says she would never let Tohru play with snakes.
