- Curb-Stomp Battle: Monster Girl delivers some Humble Pie to Rex when he pushes her buttons one too many times.
- Digging Yourself Deeper: When Atom Eve catches Rex cheating on her with Kate, first when Kate reveals that Rex lied to her about how Eve was going out with Invincible now and they already talked it over Rex is unapologetic and says he knows it's true. When Eve says it's not and storms out in anger, Rex tries to calm her by saying his affair with Kate doesn't mean anything, even saying none of Kate's clones are "the real Kate", which just earns Kate's anger too with her noting "We're all the real Kate".
- Inappropriate Hunger: Immediately after getting home from the private funeral for the Guardians, while Mark and Debbie morosely hang up their coats, Nolan suggests getting pizza. As in the previous episode, this is used to highlight Nolan's callousness, which Debbie calls him on.
- Mythology Gag: Dupli-Kate's brother, Multi-Paul, has a brief cameo as a prisoner during the Mauler Twins' escape.
- Poor Communication Kills: Rex claims he hooked up with Kate because he believed Eve was hooking up with Mark. While not exactly excusable, and not enough to make up, both are surprised by this insinuation.
- Pre Ass Kicking One Liner: Upon transforming, Monster Girl mockingly asks Rex "Still think I'm adorable?" Cue beatdown.
- Ungrateful Bastard: After Invincible helps Rex by getting Monster Girl to stop attacking him, Rex just calls him an asshole, saying he could have handled it himself and flipping Mark off as he walks off.
- What the Hell, Hero?: After returning from the original Guardians' funeral, Eve discovers that Rex is cheating on her with Kate. What's worse is that she later states he was intimate with Kate and two of her clones. It turns out that Kate and Rex never expected her to return so soon, and was enough for her to break up the Teen Team. She then refuse to join them in the formation of the new Guardians of the Globe.
- Working Out Their Emotions: Atom Eve is still seething from Rex cheating on her and ends up working out some steam by rather brutally knocking out one of the heroes trying out for the new Guardians of the Globe, though it certainly didn't help he'd tried to hit on her rather crudely during the practice match.Invincible: Ouch! What's up with her?Rex: No Idea.
