- Passive-Aggressive Kombat: Robin and Victoria's animosity throughout the episode is barely subtle.
- Sudden Downer Ending: It appears to be bittersweet at first, but Future Ted then reveals that he and Victoria's Long-Distance Relationship didn't work out well.
- Take That!:Ted: How do you feel about cats?Victoria: Cats. Hated the musical, love the animal.
- Wham Line: Future Ted reveals how his relationship with Victoria turned out in the show's closing moments.Future!Ted: It didn't work.
