In this Christmas special, Splendid accidentally slams into Lumpy Claus. The moose gets fatally impaled at the bottom, but asks for Splendid to take his place before he dies.
"Just Be Claus" contains the following:
- Bookend: Petunia being set on fire mirrors her first appearance in House Warming.
- Christmas Episode: Season 5's only Christmas episode to be precise.
- Fingore: Splendid crushes a coal ring to make it a diamond while Petunia is still wearing it. Naturally, her fingers get broken, but she gets over it upon seeing the diamond.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Lumpy Claus ends up with a baby tree run through his stomach.
- Half the Man He Used to Be: Splendid accidentally cuts Cuddles in half with his laser vision.
- Here We Go Again!: As Splendid finishes his job as Santa and burns the list, he accidentally slices Cuddles (who's the Easter Bunny, in winter) in half. Cuddles, like Lumpy before him, asks for Splendid to give out his Easter eggs, and Splendid complies.
- Stripped to the Bone: After Splendid reflates Mime's deflated punching bag, Mime decides to start boxing with it. However, the first punch he delivers to the bag causes an explosion that leaves only his skeleton and organs behind.
- They Killed Kenny Again: Lumpy, Mime, and Cuddles die.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: Splendid lives.
- Uncertain Doom: Petunia gets set on fire moments after Splendid leaves. Even if she survives, which could happen knowing her luck, she could end up freezing to death.
