Nutty steals a box of fireworks from Cuddles and Toothy thinking that it's candy.
"Going Out With a Bang" contain examples of:
- A Day in the Limelight: The first episode to star Nutty since "False Alarm".
- The Bus Came Back: Flaky makes her first appearance since "By the Seat of Your Pants", which was 3 years prior.
- Cruel and Unusual Death:
- Pop is crushed/choked to death by Cub's leash after a firework drags Cub's corpse around his body.
- Nutty has firecrackers exploding out of his ass.
- Double-Meaning Title: "Going Out With a Bang" either refers to the actual fireworks going on out with a bang or how Nutty dies.
- Downer Ending: Nutty's death quite literally ends with a bang and ends up taking several people with him. Meanwhile an ember embeds in Cuddles' eye.
- Eye Scream: One of the Embers from the fireworks lands on Cuddles' eye and begins to sink into it. Oddly, this doesn’t happen to Toothy despite him also being there and him commonly suffering eye injuries.
- Fatal Fireworks: What causes Cub and Nutty's death.
- Laser-Guided Karma / Karmic Death: Nutty dies in an explosion while trapped inside the outhouse after stealing all of Cuddles and Toothy's fireworks.
- Potty Emergency: Nutty suffers from one after the fireworks digest… somehow. He makes it to an outhouse in time, but that’s just the beginning…
- They Killed Kenny Again: Flaky, Cub, Pop and Nutty die in this episode.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: Toothy and Cuddles survive in this episode.
- In a meta example. For once, Toothy isn't the character to receive the eye injury.
- Too Dumb to Live: Nutty thinks that a box of fireworks was candy.
