Nutty mixes up a sack of sugar with a bag of concrete at a construction site.
"Concrete Solution" provides examples of:
- Accidental Murder: Lumpy accidentally kills Handy with a nail gun.
- Cruel and Unusual Death
- Handy is shot in the back of the head with a nail gun, then drowns in cement when Lumpy forces his body through it.
- Sniffles' head is crushed when it slams into the steering wheel of his ambulance.
- Lumpy falls off the bridge, gets run over by Lifty and Shifty, gets the lower half of his body crushed by a cement block, making his nostrils pour blood, and the upper half of his body is crushed when the cement block falls on it.
- Nutty is torn in half when he causes two halves of the bridge to break apart.
- Didn't Think This Through: Nutty gobbles down an entire bag of cement mix without noticing until the very end. Later, when he eats the sugar bridge, it tears in half along with him since he's holding a side with each hand.
- Disposing of a Body: After killing Handy, Lumpy hides the body by submerging him in concrete.
- Downer Ending: The newly built bridge's destruction causes several casualties, Nutty included.
- Eye Scream: Narrowly averted when Lumpy stares dead-straight at a nail gun. It had no power, thankfully.
- Gory Discretion Shot: The Mole's death isn't shown but his corpse can be seen later in the episode.
- Karmic Death:
- Nutty gets this after stealing a bag of sugar from the cafe and accidentally destroying the new bridge.
- The concrete block that kills Lumpy is the same block where he hid Handy's corpse.
- Karma Houdini: A rare one for Lifty and Shifty: they managed to steal Lumpy's wallet without dying (though this might be diminished since Lumpy did pour the sugar in the concrete mixer, and should have paid more attention).
- Killed Offscreen:
- The Mole is impaled by steel rods without an explanation.
- Toothy, Russell, Flaky, Cuddles, and Cro-Marmot possibly die from the collapsing bridge away from the screen.
- Literal Cliffhanger: Nutty ends up hanging on to the bridge for dear life.
- New Job as the Plot Demands:
- Lumpy, Handy, and the Mole are construction workers.
- Sniffles is a doctor.
- Giggles is a waitress.
- Rasputinian Death: Lumpy falls off a bridge, gets hit by Lifty and Shifty's van, and then finally dies when a block of concrete crushes him.
- They Killed Kenny Again: The Mole, Handy, Sniffles, Lumpy, Nutty, Toothy, Cub and maybe Flaky, Russell, Cro-Marmot and Cuddles die in this episode.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: Giggles, Mime, Pop, Lifty, and Shifty survive this episode. Additionally, the last two receive one of their few victories in the entire series.
- Too Dumb to Live: Nutty eats a bag of cement mix, thinking it's sugar. When his lips get swollen closed, he opts to drink some water, causing his stomach to completely turn into concrete.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: The Disaster Dominoes would never had fell if Giggles closed the cabinet door before Nutty saw all the sugar inside.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: After accidentally running over Lumpy, Lifty and Shifty try to give him CPR until they find his wallet and run off with it.
