The Evil Flower Poisony Appears! Who is She? (or Darkness in Disguise) is the twelfth episode of Futari wa Pretty Cure.
A new threat, Poisony, arrives in town to target Pretty Cure, and kidnaps Mepple from right under Nagisa's nose.
Tropes:
- Ad-Break Double-Take: Dr. Breckston's line "Please give it to me" is repeated again after the Eye Catch.
- Blank White Eyes: Nagisa's eyes briefly go fully white when a Zakenna pops out of Mepple’s carrier.
- Cool Old Lady: Sanae appears just in time to stop Honoka from giving up her Card Commune. She later rescues Mipple from the crowd of zombies, and refuses to give her up to Poisony, even throwing Poisony across the block singlehandedly!
- Fainting: Sanae faints after being attacked by Poisony.
- Foul Flower: Poisony is referred to in the title as an evil flower, and summons a field full of flowers to tempt Honoka into giving up Mipple.
- Girls Love Chocolate: Exploited; Poisony disguises herself as a chocolate salesperson to distract Nagisa while she takes her Card Commune.
- This Is Unforgivable!: Honoka says she won't ever forgive Poisony for hurting Sanae.
- Twitchy Eye: Cure Black and Cure White's eyes twitch when spotting the zombie crowd all knocking into each other.
- Volumetric Mouth: Yawning gives Mepple a giant mouth.
