Leland Townsend's plans with radicalized incel Sebastian Lewin also come to a head.

Alternate Character Interpretation: We have been given enough foreshadowing up until this point to suggest that perhaps Sebastian was Driven to Suicide. - Credits Gag: The ending screen for this episode displays a black liquid instead of the usual white one, possibly due to the episode as a whole ending with Leland, nearly on the verge of a breakdown in the aftermath of Sebastian's accidental suicide, apparently deciding to salvage what's left of his previous plans to kill a group of innocents in order to fulfill a portion of the Church's prophecy and usher in the end of the world.
- Hilarity Sues: Caroline Hopkins is unhappy with her mental state post-exorcism and goes the legal route.
- Pun-Based Title: A pun on Exorcist II: The Heretic.
- Laughing Mad: Leland, in the midst of a rather nasty Villainous Breakdown in the aftermath of Sebastian's accidental suicide (and therefore the destruction of his multiple-episode spanning plan), rapidly alternates between this, hysterical screaming, and sounding as though he's on the verge of a panic attack.
- Reckless Gun Usage: The intensive and murder-focused training Sebastian undergoes over the course of the episode doesn't stop him from posing with his guns and blowing his own head off in the process.
- Sexy Discretion Shot: The camera dollies away at the end, but in this episode and the next we're given to understand that David spends the night with his Church-appointed lawyer Renée.
- Villainous Breakdown: Leland trashing his office and screaming after he finds out about Sebastian's gun accident is the opposite of his usual ice cool demeanor.Leland, screaming in rage: Savage, useless son of a bitch!
