A school field trip to a local mountain goes horribly wrong when everyone gets trapped in a cabin during a blizzard with no food or water.
This episode provides examples of:
- Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Daria and Jane finally locate Mr. DeMartino as he's playing charades with Helen and Jake. Daria pays Jane to never mention this happened.
- Comically Missing the Point: Kevin gives Brittany a bouquet of flowers. That turn out to be full of bees. Kevin's offended when Brittany runs off without thanking him, and still doesn't register how mad she is about all the bee stings she got when he still expects her to thank him.
- Dull Surprise: Daria and Jane barely blink after watching Mr. DeMartino walk off a cliff.
- Misplaced Retribution: Everyone in the cabin blames Quinn for the fact they have no supplies, despite that it was the Three Js who left the food and water behind because they were carrying Quinn's stuff.
- Noodle Incident: Jane was apparently a Girl Scout at one point and has bad memories of a trip she took on that mountain when she was a kid.Jane: We kept marching. And singing. And marching and singing about some freak named John Jacob Jingle-somebody.
Daria: You were a Girl Scout?
Jane: Not after the deprogramming. - Side Bet: Daria and Jane wage a bet on whether or not Quinn will be kicked out of the Fashion Club. She is, and the scene cuts to Jane handing Daria a bill.
- Something We Forgot: The end of the episode shows Kevin got left behind on the mountain.
- We Need a Distraction: Helen and Jake are more than happy to overlook Mr. DeMartino suddenly barging into their cabin near frozen to death if it means they don't have to talk to each other.
- Would Rather Suffer: By the end of the episode, Daria's figured the risk of freezing to death in a blizzard is more tolerable than being trapped in a cabin with her classmates and teachers.
