Craig, Kelsey, JP, and Omar must enter a cooking challenge to win a piece of the Puzzle Cube.
Tropes:
- Cooking Duel: Craig challenges Rick to a cooking contest in Tien's place to see who the best chef is. After Rick wins, Tien challenges him to another cook-off, which he wins by improvising his own dish instead of the assigned peanut butter crepe.
- Crippling Overspecialization: Chef Rick can make a really good peanut butter sandwich, but that seems to be the only thing he can make and it's the only food they serve at the restaurant which Tien calls him out on. During the second cooking contest, Chef Rick mixes things up by making peanut butter crepe pancakes, but that doesn't change the fact that he's still using peanut butter as main ingredient. Tien beats him by changing the recipe by adding savory ingredients.
- Fake Brit: In-Universe, Chef Rick is constantly speaking with a British accent. After he was defeated, he goes back to a more normal American one.
- Fountain of Youth: Tien's improvised dish is so delicious, the Elder that's judging it is restored to a youthful appearance.
- Lethal Chef: The sandwiches Craig, Kelsey, and Omar make are barely edible, and the elder refuses to eat any of them.
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: Chef Rick assumed the personality of Gordon Ramsay.
- One Note Chef: See Crippling Overspecialization.
- Spit Take: Kelsey at the end when Tien presents them with the bill.
- Supreme Chef:
- Unlike Craig and the others, J.P. turns out to be an amazing chef, preparing a full course turkey dinner. Unfortunately, since he didn't make a sandwich, he's disqualified.
- Tien is this. He’s able to make a great PB&J sandwich and in the end, he made Bánh xèo, a Vietnamese crepe.
