Wanting to live each other's lives, Craig, Kelsey, and J.P. use a machine to swap each other's bodies.
Tropes:
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Each of the Stump Kids want to switch for different reasons, and get more than they bargained for.
- Kelsey wanted to have siblings, so she switches with Craig. However, her idea of playing is to make Jessica attack Bernard, which gets her thrown out of the Williams' home.
- J.P. wanted an adult to help build his T. rex figure, since Laura keeps getting called away, so he switches with Kelsey. Unfortunately, he finds her father Neil boring, always talking about plates.
- As for Craig, he wanted to have the TV all to himself, so he switches with J.P. Unfortunately, he takes Laura's suggestion to watch what turns out to be a horror movie and is too scared to stay.
- Exorcist Head: Nicole does this the second she hears Craig prepare to open up a bag of chips.
- Faux Horrific: While watching the scary clown movie, Craig is horrified to see the main characters fit into a tiny clown car.
- "Freaky Friday" Flip: Craig, Kelsey and J.P. switch bodies with each other using Wren's machine. Spoofed in that they're just pretending and the switch consists of them just wearing the others' clothes. The parents understand what they're doing, and are just playing along with itnote
- Here We Go Again!: Right after the trio switch back to their normal selves, Mortimor files into the machine and Wren goes after him. The machine activates and the two reappear merged to each other.
- Innocently Insensitive: Kelsey doesn't understand why Neil can't make her a little brother or sister with his co-worker, Sheila. Nor does she seem to understand that Sheila being married to someone else would make this even more problematic.
- One Size Fits All: Craig's clothes both widen and shorten to fit Kelsey. Kelsey and J.P.'s clothes don't change, making them fit very poorly on J.P. and Craig.
- Open Secret: The parents are fully informed about the kids "swapping bodies" and they decide to play along with the experiment.
- Spit Take: Neil spits out his coffee when Kelsey asks him to make her siblings with his coworker.
- Suspiciously Specific Denial: After Wren makes her presence known to the Stump Trio, she specifically mentions that she wasn't sneaking around their place to steal their snacks.
- Talking the Monster to Death: Discussed. Kelsey is bitter that the Williams' family uphold "resolution by talking" which leads to her leaving the house.
- Think Nothing of It: The Stump Trio express gratitude towards Wren for swapping their bodies and the nerd assures them that them being her guinea pigs is enough for her.
- We Can Rule Together: Kelsey promises Jessica that they can both have they TV if she attacks Bernard with her.
