"I guess we all know that our parents have some kind of romantic life, but no one needs to see it acted out on videotape."

A Plot: Brent installs a security camera at the gas station, but Hank sees it as a breach of privacy and hatches a plan with Karen to get rid of it. Brent also catches Wanda speaking harshly about him, which leads to a chain of camera-recorded "plays" which Davis wants to be in.

B Plot: When the DRPD gets a new taser, Hank tries everything in his power to get Davis to use it on him, as it is a lifelong dream of his to be tased.

C Plot: Oscar takes Emma to a hotel for a getaway. Unfortunately, the advertising may have exaggerated a tiny bit regarding the quality of the place.

Tropes Referenced:

  • Amusing Injuries: When Davis "auditions" himself on the security camera, he accidentally zaps the palm of his hand with the taser gun, causing him to stagger around the gas station for a few seconds and fall to the floor.
  • Bad "Bad Acting": The various people in Lacey's "security plays".
  • Big Brother Is Watching: This is how Hank feels about the new security camera.
  • Directionless Driver: Oscar on the way to the hotel.
  • Double Entendre: While hanging up the security camera:
Brent: Now no more dirty talk. Hand me that big tool so I can mount this.
  • Goal in Life: Parodied. Hank has a lifelong dream to be tasered.
  • Insane Troll Logic:
Lacey: What are the odds of a riot breaking out in Dog River?
    Karen: 50/50.
    Lacey: How do you figure?
Karen: We either have a riot or we don't.
    Davis: Yeah. 50/50.
    • Brent bought a $600 security camera to save $500 on his insurance. note
  • Literal Metaphor:
Davis: Did you tell Hank to rob Corner Gas?
Karen: No! What? No! That's crazy talk! Hank's crazy!
Davis: He said you practically drew him a map.
Hank: She literally drew me a map!
  • Parental Sexuality Squick: The security camera records the beginning of Oscar and Emma acting out a roleplaying sex fantasy, causing Brent to rip the security camera out of the wall and deny it was ever there.
  • Self-Deprecation: Of the Meta variety:
Brent: Oh, I'm not much of an actor, really. I just play myself.
  • Very False Advertising: The "luxury resort" Oscar and Emma are trying to get to turns out to be a crappy motel. They only reason they even bothered to stop at the motel was to ask for directions to the supposed resort.
