• All Just a Dream: The whole episode appears to be some kind of strange dream Numbuh 4 has while knocked out.
• A Bloody Mess: Numbuh 4 and the Delightful Children from Down the Lane use ketchup guns. Thus, when Numbuh 4 defeats the Delightful Children, the ketchup looks like blood.
• Bait-and-Switch: When Numbuh 4 sees Numbuh 1 in cowboy pants, he bemoans that he's got into the chicken nugget hype too. Numbuh 1 responds that of course he hasn't-he's running the saloon.
• Continuity Nod: Numbuh 4 becomes nervous when he thinks the stream is deeper that it actually is, fearing that he may have to swim, which he still doesn't enjoy.
• Foreshadowing: There's a few hints the episode is a dream before the The Reveal.
  • Numbuh 1, who would never join in these types of shenanigans in other episodes, is just as into the whole chicken nugget craze as everyone.
  • The Delightful Children actively try to fight Numbuh 4 with no mech when in other episodes, they would let their goons do the fighting if they lacked a mech to try with.
  • Mushi, who previously was shown to be a complete psycho who hates the Kids Next Door after Hoagie got her Grounded Forever, is shown to be performing with her sister with no problem.
• Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy: The Delightful Children pull out a pair of chicken-firing revolvers to try to beat Numbuh 4 in the final duel. Numbuh 4, being the battle expert, lands his ketchup shots head-on. The Delightful Children apparently can't aim inwards whatsoever with their wide formation as both shots go completely past his smaller frame to the sides.
• Mining for Cookies: Chicken nuggets in this case.
• Or Was It a Dream? It turns out that Numbuh 4 had dreamed the entire incident after he fell asleep in the stream. The camera then pans to one chicken nugget that was left on a rock in the stream.
• Ship Tease: Numbuh 4 is entranced by Numbuh 3's performance (with Mushi and Lizzie) on stage and when he grumbles about not getting to eat any chicken nuggets, she gives him one that she was saving.
• Stop Drowning and Stand Up: Numbuh 4 does this to himself early in the episode. He falls into a stream, panics, then realizes how shallow it is.
• Two Men, One Dress: The five Delightful Children wear one giant belt.
• Whole-Plot Reference: The entire episode is a big parody of the gold rushes of the old west.
