Go To

Optimus, Lelouch, Cera, and the rest of the Geass Users are brought to the Dead Universe, where they learn the history of how Geass came to be and how it is connected to the Bringer of Chaos.

  • Dead Partner: Prowl mentions his former partner and best friend Bluestreak, who stayed behind on a desolated planet to prevent the Rust Plague from getting to Cybertron.
  • Greater-Scope Villain:
    • Turns out Beleth/The Skull is the entity that gave Shin Hyuga his Geass, plus he's the one who helped Megatron develop his Dark Geass using Dark Energon.
    • Unicron himself is the one that helped Beleth survive the destruction of his physical body and become a ghost.
  • Historical Rap Sheet: Among those Beleth gave corrupted Geass are an unstated member of the Aztec Empire, Vlad the Impaler, Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan, and Elizabeth Báthory.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Lloyd offers to experiment on Grimlock so he can access his T-Rex mode whenever he wants, instead of just when he is angry. This angers Grimlock's immensely, since he was subjected to horrible experiments by Shockwave, and he threatens Lloyd, Cecile, and Rakshata for their curiosity.
  • Not So Omniscient After All: There are things and places even Vector and the Caretaker cannot see, mostly due to the influence of Unicron, who can block their gaze.
  • The Watcher: Vector Prime and the Caretaker of Space-Time for Cybertron and Earth, respectively.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Lelouch calls out Vector Prime for not helping the Autobots fight against Megatron during the war for Cybertron, saying that he could have saved so many lives but allowed the conflict to spread to Earth, and outright calling him a disgrace to the title of Prime. Rai and Orpheus agree with him and tear into Vector Prime too.
  • You Can't Fight Fate: This is what Vector Prime believes, since as Keeper of Time and Space he knows all life is finite. He even says the reason he didn't involve himself in the conflict between Autobots and Decepticons because he knew it wouldn't matter, Cybertron was doomed, one way or the other.
