Following the apparent demise of Zero's team on the explosion of the Gallia Grande, Leila, Claus, Nunnally, and the Ashford Student Council meet with Shin Hyuga Shaing and Steeljaw to negotiate their terms of surrender. However, there may still be one ace up their sleeves...
- Big "WHAT?!": Shin, when Akito reveals he's not under the influence of Shin's Geass anymore.
- Borrowed Catchphrase: Like Euphemia before her, Leila borrows her idol's catchphrase at the end of her Rousing Speech, quoting "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings".
- Brainwashing for the Greater Good: Lelouch geasses Smilas into obeying Zero so he doesn't try to betray him any further.
- Death from Above: Ultra Magnus dumps the remains of the Gallia Grande on the Order of Michael, destroying two-thirds of their forces.
- Enemy Mine: The Glynda Knights and Duke Velaines' forces ally with the Autobots and Black Knights against the Decepticons.
- Godzilla Threshold: Once it becomes clear that Gene Smilas isn’t going to willingly work with the Black Knights and Autobots, Lelouch uses his Geass to force him to cooperate.
- Holographic Disguise: Another new feature of Lelouch's Zero armor that's revealed when he confronts Smilas disguised as Leila.
- Mass "Oh, Crap!": The Decepticons and their forces have this reaction when they see the remains of the Gallia Grande falling straight at them.
- Out-Gambitted: Lelouch is able to anticipate the plans of both Steeljaw and Smilas, and is able to not only outsmart them, but use them to his advantage.
- La Résistance: Duke Velaines and the Glynda Knights, with help from Euphemia, set up an anti-Decepticon resistance in Euro-Britannia.
- Rousing Speech: Leila gives this to all of Europia, revealing herself as Bradow von Briesgau's daughter and encouraging them to support the Autobot-Black Knight Alliance.
- This Cannot Be!: Shin reacts like this when Lelouch's team turns out to be alive, and when Akito reveals he's not under the influence of Shin's Geass anymore.
- Villainous Breakdown: Both Shin and Steeljaw suffer from this when they realize Zero completely Out-Gambitted them.
