The Emotion Lord: It's always been Wankershim!

Ultra Wankershim is the tenth episode of Bravest Warriors.

Wankershim returns for the first time since "Butter Lettuce". The episode opens as he dramatically takes a step out of the HoloJohn as the Warriors watch in excitement and cheer. Beth scans his molecules to find that, amazingly, Wankershim has become an independent life form, one that can exist outside of the HoloJohn. Wankershim says a sorrowful goodbye to his hologram friend Spankus.

Wankershim: I am no longer merely a hologram!
Spankus: My brother, Wankershim. Where you're going, I cannot follow.
Wankershim: I'm sorry, I have grown beyond you, brother Spankus. (Spankus tries to pass through a forcefield in the HoloJohn, but fails) Computer... End program. (Spankus disappears)

On the news, a reporter announces that Wankershim has become an tourist attraction in the NeoMars Park and has grown 50 stories tall, and still growing. Reporters interview Catbug at the scene asking him how he thinks it will affect the Martian tourism industry, only to have Catbug to reply with "He says he wants... more carrots and breadcrumbs!" Wallow takes Catbug away and reminds him that he asked Catbug not to feed Wankershim with his own lunch. The Warriors wonder what will happen if Wankershim continues to expand.

The Emotion Lord then flies down from the sky inside his jellyfish Himmel Mancheese (who begged The Emotion Lord to take him back in time to witness the Dawning of Wankershim), screaming that "it's always been Wankershim!", and then kisses Chris on the lips. When Danny asks, the Emotion Lord explains that the Dawning of Wankershim is the day where Wankershim grows to an infinitely large size and absorbs not only the planet of Mars, but also the entirety of the universe in his "wanker-being". Today is the day, he explains, that they all become "one with Wankershim".

Beth: What the beans does this mean? How do we stop it?
The Emotion Lord: Are you really all up in my jam asking for dangerous knowledge of the future that might damage space time? Do you want a temporal parasox on your conscience?
Wallow: You mean a paradox?
The Emotion Lord: No! A temporal pair-of-socks! It's far worse!

The Emotion Lord says that while he can't tell them about the future, he can help them solve their problems in the present and directs them to make an MV-12 assertive reactor, which will answer all their questions. Catbug decides that Himmel Mancheese and the Emotion Lord are his friends now and takes them away for soft tacos. Chris expresses his lack of trust in the Emotion Lord, but Danny tells him to give the Emotion Lord a chance - he knows things Chris doesn't. Wankershim continues to expand into the sky and the Emotion Lord is handing out Wankershim flags to some young children. Chris approaches him, and asks if he can ask his future self a private question. The Emotion Lord assumes he's talking about their powers, which he explains: "Well! We can read upside down... And... Our dancing skills improve quite nicely!" Chris asks about Beth, but the Emotion Lord refuses to answer, and tells him that he can see the future himself, "that's one of [his] dang powers!"

Danny, Wallow and Beth are setting up the MV-12 reactor, and Beth mentions that she "likes [her]self too much to become a tiny piece of a giant elf." The Emotion Lord preps Chris for a psychic vision while Catbug plays tag with Himmel Mancheese. Suddenly he twists Chris's neck and the vision bursts onto the screen in all of its ominous terror and Foreshadowing. Within the glimpse of the future we can see: A violent, aggressive and deformed Plum with tentacles and glowing purple eyes; A shot of King Congletard speaking backwards and not like a little girl; A shot of the reoccurring character The Passenger, asleep in a bed; Beth kissing a silhouetted figure; Wallow, missing his left arm; and finally, a shot of The Emotion Lord with tears falling down his face as he slowly falls into the void and the vision ends.

Chris is in pain from the vision, but it's too late to ask questions, as Wankershim is finally growing to his full size. Beth finally figures out how to use the MV-12 reactor, and after a few tense seconds of "calculating", a message pops up onto the screen: It's always been Wankershim. The Warriors realise there's nothing they can do as Wankershim grows to incredible levels, his pink-toned being enveloping the entire plane. Beth feels joy when she too is enveloped by Wankershim, shouting "This is amazing!" and doing a celebratory dance, which Chris watches, smiling. Then he hears a sniffling sound, and turns his head to see the Emotion Lord gazing at Beth, tears running down his face. When Chris asks him why, he replies, "I just miss her."

The Emotion Lord realises that he's said too much, and has probably created a temporal parasox. He looks down at the ground, where he sees a literal pair of socks. He says that he can't not put the socks on, and spins out of existence, screaming, one last time, "It's always been Wankershim!" The Warriors look up at the sky, which is now a purple colour instead of the normal blue. Impossibear, wearing what appears to be a Wankershim apron, tells the others that he's made soft tacos. They return to the hideout, and Chris holds Beth's hand, looking down on her sadly. As they pass, the Concierge appears silently behind them, writes in his book and backs away into a pink holographic doorway, and disappears along with it.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Chekhov's Gunman/The Bus Came Back: Wankershim and the HoloJohn appear for the first time since "Butter Letuce". King Congletard makes his first appearance since 'Emotion Lord'.
  • Foreshadowing/Call-Forward: Quite a few of the shots in the vision occur at some point during Season 2:
    • The Emotion Lord crying comes back very quickly at the end of this episode, when he stares at Beth woefully.
    • Plum's One-Winged Angel form is revealed in 'Mexican Touchdown'
    • Beth kissing the silhouetted figure never happens in Season 2, but by "The Parasox Pub", it is revealed that Beth will end up with Danny in the normal timeline, thanks to Plum and the Concierge messing with it.
    • Wallow loses his arm when Beth is forced to hack it off in 'Season of the Worm'.
  • Funny Background Event: Catbug attempting to play tag with Himmel Mancheese, and then becoming absorbed by him, all whilst The Emotion Lord is prepping Chris for his vision. The little scream he does is just the icing on the cake.
  • Jump Scare: Plum's horrifying form appearing out of nowhere during the vision.
  • Major Injury Underreaction: Wallow with his missing arm.
Vision!Wallow: (in a monotone voice) Ahhhhhhh, my arm is missing...
  • Sdrawkcab Name: King Congletard in the flash-forward to the future can be heard saying:
King Congletard: Sdrawkcab gniyalp egassem a si siht.
    • Which, when reversed, plays as:
  • The Singularity
  • Visual Pun: Temporal paradox, temporal pair of socks
  • Vocal Dissonance: The reporter looks ugly and spews slime which contrasts with her pleasant female voice.
  • Wham Line:
The Emotion Lord: I just miss her.
