"Today, something unnatural has slipped into your universe. An octave of death. A tentacle of time. It is the final gift... and it is not for you. Beth does not know it now, but this gift... is for her."
Danny: Oh, I just thought you ladies might wanna hear about all the presents we got today. From our parents.

Catbug is the eleventh episode of Bravest Warriors, and the Season 1 finale.

Beth and Chris are in the middle of casually discussing the infinite nature of the universe and Beth tells him that their minds just weren't made to comprehend the concept of forever. Chris points out that her horse realised the meaning of the universe when they were six, and that he hasn't moved from his position since, and always lies with a stunned expression on his face. Danny barges into the room and tells them that he thought they might've wanted to hear about all the presents they got... from their parents.

Danny explains, as they enter the living room, that Catbug, the Ridiculously Cute Critter and Non-Human Sidekick of the Warriors, lives in two separate dimensions, constantly jumping between the two. Until today, nobody knew where he went, but they now realise that he teleports to the See-Through Zone, the dimension the Warriors's parents have been trapped in for years. Catbug has recently returned from his jumps carrying presents from them, sent to the Warriors themselves. Wallow got his Pony Lords Battle Aquarium. Chris got his baby pictures, some Will Rogers commemorative stamps and a Sinus Irrigator. Danny got an expired lottery ticket and a knife. His mom's got class.

Catbug screams, indicating that he jumped to the other dimension. Beth wonders aloud if she got any presents, and Catbug returns, holding a tray of peanut butter squares.

Wallow: Those are from my mom, they're my favourite! What'd she say?
Catbug: Your mom said to say I could have... just... one... peanut butter square... But not till after they've cooled down.
Wallow: Good boy, Catbug!
Catbug: I'm Catbug!
Beth: Are they really okay in the See-Through Zone?
Catbug: Yeah! Everything is OKAY!
Beth: Did you see my dad?
Catbug: I don't think so. Beth didn't get any presents.
Chris: You're very brave, buddy. Ask them if they need us to send anything, okay?
Catbug: Yeah, but I don't know how to make myself go there! Maybe it might never happen again! AAAAHHHH! (teleports)

As Catbug jumps, Beth scans the peanut butter squares just before Wallow puts one in his mouth, and yells to him not to eat it. The scans show that the squares are coated in "some freaky microorganism", and that in fact, all of the gifts are covered in this virus. Chris asks if she can identify it, but she notes that she's never seen anything like it before. Catbug returns holding a bowl.

Catbug: (happily) Sugar peas!
Danny: DROP 'EM!
Catbug: (still happily) Okay! (drops bowl)

Beth discovers that she is unable to affect the virus in any way, it is essentially not killable at this point due to its origin being not from this dimension, not unlike Hunson Abadeer. Worse: it's multiplying. Fast. At this rate, Chris realises, if it turns into an extraterrestrial being, it could destroy all of NeoMars. Catbug's suggestion to "throw a blanket over it!" (Danny complies, although it doesn't help at all) doesn't help, and neither does his suggestion to "put a little fence around it!"

Beth: The laws of space-time don't apply. Trying to control this thing is kinda like trying to make oatmeal cry.
Catbug: Why would you do that?
Chris: It's like trying to use the president's mouth to make out with God's middle name.
Wallow: It's like trying to stir diarrhoea with your dog's sense of humour!
Catbug: Hahahaha!
Danny: Hahahaha— (throws up)

The bacteria begins to grow larger and larger, almost reaching the ceiling. Catbug yells for the Pony Lords to escape before he jumps to the See-Through Zone himself. The huge being grows two wide eyes, branches with which it stands upon and a monstrously wide mouth as it morphs into the episode's Monster of the Week... And then freezes solid into its true form: A door. The Warriors are surprised and confused until Danny suggests that it leads to the See-Through Zone. Catbug morphs back with another note that has an ominous message reading: "Ralph Waldo Pickle Chips is the key." Danny is utterly determined to open the door, no matter how long it takes, and swears that he will not rest until it's open.

Danny: I don't care what I have to do, or how long it takes me... I will not rest until I've opened... that door.
(Ten hours later)
Danny: I'm going to bed.

The Warriors head off the bed, and Chris remarks that at least they know their parents are still alive, before wincing and apologising to Beth, who announces that she hasn't given up yet. She goes outside to visit her horse, out on the stables in one of the hideout's hands. She sleeps by its side, and the horse ends the episode with an Inner Monologue.

The Paralysed Horse: Paralysed Horse's Log, July 3rd, 3085. Everyday I hear and I see eternity. I am frozen in awe of my knowledge of forever. But I belong only to one girl. Nowhere can I see more clearly than into her heart. When Beth feels heartbreak, I'm stranded in the stygian void, helpless to comfort her, for I am just a horse. Sleep now, Bravest Warriors and dream of doors and keys and Ralph Waldo Pickle Chips. Today, something unnatural has slipped into your universe. An octave of death. A tentacle of time. It is the final gift... and it is not for you. Beth does not know it now, but this gift... is for her.
