"They could blink, and we'd be gone."
Ultimate Aggregor's ultimate plan is revealed: to travel to the Forge of Creation and absorb the powers of a baby Celestialsapien, becoming omnipotent. Paradox takes the team there so they have a chance to stop him, where they meet an unlikely ally.
  • Armor-Piercing Question: After getting grief for his childish and obnoxious behavior, the younger Ben goes on at length about how joking around all the time is a way to cope with the constant pressure of having to make decisions that could get others killed.
Gwen: Is that why you're so arrogant all the time? Because you're scared?
Ben: [beat] No. I'm actually oblivious.
  • Armor-Piercing Response: Ultimate Kevin plans to absorb the baby himself because he believes he rightfully deserves it due to always being treated as a monster. Young Ben responds that he's just a jerk and that people do care about him, but he's too self-absorbed to see that. Kevin agrees and flies away.
  • Art Evolution: 10 Year Old Ben’s transformations now have a green Omnitrix symbol rather than the white ones they had in the original series. Word of God claims that the white colouration was due to a dust cover, which fell off prior to his appearance here.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Just as Ultimate Aggregor is about to claim the power, his wrist is grabbed.
Ultimate Kevin: Hands off the baby!
  • Bittersweet Ending: Ultimate Aggregor is stopped, but at the cost of Kevin's sanity, who's on the loose.
  • Call-Back: Per Paradox, the reason why Ben trusted Kevin at the start of Alien Force when he had absolutely no reason to was because he dimly remembered the events of this episode.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Having absorbed Ben's transformations, Ultimate Kevin completely demolishes Ultimate Aggregor and steals his powers, reverting him to his regular form.
  • Didn't Think This Through: When the younger Ben identifies him, Kevin freely acknowledges who he is. Gwen points out what a bad idea that was, given how the kid only knows Kevin as one of his worst enemies.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: Despite driving most of the plot of the first season, staying always one step ahead of the heroes, and coming close to victory, Aggregor gets taken down by Kevin when the latter is forced to absorb the energy of the Ultimatrix to stop him, becoming the new antagonist for the remainder of the season.
  • Face–Monster Turn: In order to have a chance against Ultimate Aggregor, Kevin absorbs Ben's Ultimatrix transformations, becoming an amalgamation of them and losing his sanity.
  • Genre Savvy: Having helped his future self, young Ben (rightfully) suggests that he will have his memories of this adventure erased.
  • Godzilla Threshold:
    • Since the team and Azmuth have no way of knowing how to reach the Forge of Creation, Ben has Gwen and Kevin unlock Alien X in the hopes of using the transformation's power to do so. Unfortunately, Serena and Bellicus remain just as uncooperative as last time, forcing Professor Paradox to intervene by changing Ben back, even though this came at the risk of almost getting destroyed by Serena and Bellicus for being within 500 light-years of a Celestialsapien.
    • Since Aggregor has overpowered them all effortlessly and is about to absorb the baby Celestialsapien, the younger Ben suggests that Kevin absorb energy from his Omnitrix to turn the tides. Kevin instead absorbs energy from Ben's Ultimatrix (which has access to more aliens), despite knowing this will cost him his sanity, because there's no other option now to stop Aggregor.
  • Irony: When Young Ben encounters our main trio, he assumes Kevin is still the insane villain he knows in his present, with Gwen having to explain to him that it's no longer the case. At the climax, Young Ben ends up goading Kevin into absorbing the Ultimatrix to give himself enough power to defeat Aggregor, causing him to revert back into exactly what Young Ben remembered him being.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Ultimate Aggregor successfully defeats the team and is about to absorb the baby Celestialsapien...until Kevin stops him, having himself absorbed Ben's transformations, and beats him to a pulp.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: In a desperate attempt to stop Aggregor, Young Ben convinces Kevin to absorb the Ultimatrix to give himself enough power to overpower Ultimate Aggregor and take his powers before he absorbs the baby Celestialsapien. Kevin does just that...and promptly becomes even more powerful and insane than Aggregor is, much to Present Ben and Gwen's horror.
  • Noodle Incident: It's never made clear what happened between Paradox and the Celestialsapiens. Whatever it was, it angered the entire Celestialsapien race so badly that they issued a restraining order against Paradox and killing him on sight is the one thing both split personalities of Ben's Celestialsapien form "Alien X" will immediately agree to do.
  • Other Me Annoys Me: Ben gets quite irritated by his younger self, which prompts him to ask whether he used to be that annoying. Gwen responds "Used to be?".
  • Properly Paranoid: Ben had Alien X’s DNA locked both to avoid turning into him during an inconvenient moment, and to ensure that Albedo would be unable to access him.
  • Pyrrhic Victory: After spending most of the season getting everything he wanted, Aggregor is finally defeated and depowered before he's able to reach nigh-omnipotent levels of power by absorbing a baby Celestialsapien. Unfortunately, this comes at the cost of Kevin becoming an insane, mutated abomination far worse than Aggregor ever was, with Ben and Gwen now having to worry about the threat he poses to the universe.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Ultimate Kevin is all in on claiming more power and full of self-pity about how no one truly cares about him, but hearing this gets him to back off for today.
Young Ben: You're a jerk. You've always been a jerk. People try to be nice to you, but you can't ever see it. You're too busy feeling sorry for yourself.
  • Stable Time Loop: While Young Ben will only remember these events as a dream, the subconscious memory of Kevin as an ally will lead to Ben trusting him when he shouldn’t, leading to Kevin making a Heel–Face Turn and saving the universe from Aggregor.
  • The Talk: Parodied with Kevin when he gives young Ben the talk about Alien X.
Young Ben: Where do baby Alien Xs come from?
Kevin: When two constellations love each other very much...
    Gwen: Kevin!
Kevin: Just trying to help the kid out. I had to learn astrophysics on the streets!
  • Wham Shot: When Ben says he saw something moving in the cloud, out walks his 10-year-old self.
