Marty enters an alternate timeline where Doc has married Edna and now rule
- The Three Trials: To meet Citizen Brown, Marty must get demerits for interacting with a dog, owning contraband, and doing PDA.
Episode 4: Double Vision
Marty has managed to escape the new present, and now has one goal in mind: re-inspire Doc Brown with science.
- Gone Horribly Right:
- He's Back!: Once Marty convinces Doc to take control of his life again, a flash of lightning appears and he gets the right idea to power his flying car, going on a scientific rant to signify he's back to his old self.
- Reverse Psychology: Marty reignites Doc's love for science by saying he did everything just to mess with him, which infuriates enough that he decides he's done listening to anyone else.
- The Three Trials: To make Edna break up with Doc, Marty has to make her think Doc's dirty (ruining the suit she gave him), a bad citizen (sabotaging Doc's mind map), and unfaithful (convincing Trixie to say Doc's been seeing her).
Episode 5: OUTTATIME
The old Doc's back, but doesn't mean it's the end of their problems. Can Marty stop Edna once and for all.
- Close-Enough Timeline: Just like the first movie, the time traveling left some slight changes:
- Doc never went to 1931 as the arsonist (Edna) was caught.
- Edna was still Doc's first love, even if he can't see himself ever marrying her.
- Since Doc was able to reconcile with his dad, his late father set up a foundation to help support young inventors. As such, Doc now has a semi-permanent residence in his lab in Hill Valley.
- And most amusingly enough, Edna ended up marrying Kid Tannen after they met in jail. She even likes dogs now!
- Don't Celebrate Just Yet: Just as it looks like everything is back to normal, Hill Valley suddenly turns into a barren wasteland.
- Tempting Fate: After seeing what has happened to Edna in the new timeline, Doc tells Marty they should just walk quietly to the lab and hope there are no more surprises. Cue the three different Martys.
