  • This exchange between Rancid and Lube in "Rich Shriek, Poor Shriek":
Rancid: (after giving orders) "Now show some class!"
Lube: *turns around and drops his pants*
    Rancid: "I SAID CLASS!"
  • In "Winslow's Home Videos", the short that aired before The Rugrats Movie, Cat tells Dog that the tacos he's eating have to "pass through our colon."
  • The first line of the theme tune is "One fine day with a woof and a purr". For all we know, it could be referring to CatDog's conception. Maybe.
  • One episode has Cat react quite strongly to being called a "pussy-cat"—there's a noticeable pause between the two words whenever the term is mentioned, as if to dare the censors to acknowledge it.
  • The title card for "Cliff's Little Secret" shows Cliff coming out of a closet.
  • "The End" has Cat looking through a telescope at the night sky, telling Dog that he's trying to admire some 'heavenly bodies'.
Dog: "Wow, you can see the BEACH from here? Lemme see!!"
  • After CatDog was swallowed by Veronica in "Fishing for Trouble", Dog asked Cat how to get out of Veronica's stomach. Cat then replied "Dog. You don't want to know."
  • Lube's name may be an unintentional one since lube is an abbreviation of lubrication.
  • In "Lube in Love," the wealthy Dalmatian Lube is pursuing falls in love with him once she learns that he is a greaser and a mechanic, saying "The greasier the better! All I've ever wanted to do is get down and dirty!"
    • In the same episode, Dog refers to himself as "the nurse of nookie."
  • In "CatDog Food," CatDog are in a hot tub with Barry the Baboon when Dog asks Barry how often he changes the tub water. Barry responds "what water?"
  • "Dog the Not-So Mighty"
    • There's a scene where CatDog are running through a restaurant, and the two slip underneath the chair of a female crocodile on a date with a male bird. The unaware crocodile is briefly shocked by something before slapping her companion. We'll let you figure out what CatDog did under there.
    • The Ingrid Twins at one point refer to Dog and Randolph as "sexy superheroes".
  • In "Fire Dog", Mr. Sunshine orders a milking cow to be moved to the bull pen, which she is gravely insulted by. During the scene, the bull is standing near a disco ball and winks suggestively, making it clear that Mr. Sunshine has reassigned the cow for breeding purposes.
  • In "Hotel CatDog", Winslow remarks "You can take your milk and—", but is interrupted by having the refrigerator door slammed on him.
  • "The Golden Hydrant" revolves around Dog and the Greasers wanting to mark their territory on the titular golden hydrant. At one point, all three of the Greasers are seen hiking their legs near the golden hydrant, which causes its paint to come off and Cliff to remark "Either that hydrant's fake or I need to see a doctor." What's especially questionable is that Cat eventually finds the real golden hydrant and it is implied that Dog, Cliff, Lube, Shriek, and Eddie the Squirrel all urinated on him.
  • Dog photographs Winslow in the nude in "Picture This".
  • In "CatDogula", Shriek tells Dog that he can bite her neck anytime.
  • "The Old CatDog and the Sea" begins with a fish becoming attracted to a fishing lure resembling Tallulah as a mermaid, who asks the fish if he wants to be hooked to her.
  • When the cantankerous hot dog in "Meat Dog's Friends" tells Dog what hot dogs are made of, he lifts his skin, which looks a lot like he's flashing Dog.
  • In "Brother's Day", Dog receives a colorful sweater as a gift from Cat and, not recognizing what it is, exclaims, "Frilly underwear!" Cat rather excitedly asks, "Where?" before realizing that Dog was referring to the sweater.
  • In "The Great Parent Mystery" CatDog get swallowed by Bessie the Lake Monster, but they get out by making a giant hair ball inside of her so she would hack them out. The Greasers get swallowed by the monster next, and how to they get out?
Cliff: Next time we get swallowed, we're goin' out the front door!
