Basic Trope: Two rivals team up to fight a common enemy. It is usually an awesome sight to behold.

  • Straight: Michael and Slash team up against Emperor Evulz.
  • Exaggerated: Just anytime Michael and Slash team up against any common enemy, it's a Curb-Stomp Battle.
  • Downplayed: ???
  • Justified:
    • Michael and Slash may be rivals, but they realize that they are the world's only hope in defeating Evulz; therefore they have no other choice but to work together.
    • Advertisement:
    • Slash teams up with Michael to defeat Evulz because he abhors the idea of anyone other than him defeating Michael.
  • Inverted: Michael and Slash were once rivals, but one of them went corrupt and they are sworn enemies.
  • Subverted: Slash pretends to be helping Michael take on Evulz and sides with him, thus becoming his right-hand man.
  • Double Subverted: This was a ruse in giving Michael time to charge up his energy beam, while Slash weakens Evulz.
  • Parodied: On a Class Trip, Micheal and Slash pool their... money to buy some ice cream.
  • Zig Zagged: ???
  • Averted: Michael and Slash never form an alliance.
  • Enforced: "We need to boost some ratings. Let's have Michael and Slash team up. The audience will eat this up!"
  • Lampshaded: "Let's just get this over with and go back to business."
  • Invoked: Maria, tired dealing with Michael and Slash's rivalry, manufactures a threat that requires them to convince their abilities to defeat.

  • Exploited: ???
  • Defied:
Slash: "There's no way I will ever team up with an inferior fool like you!"
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: "Michael and Slash, two of the most badass fighters, taking on Evulz together? Best episode ever!"
  • Deconstructed: Despite teaming up to take on Evulz, Michael and Slash's personal issues with each other weakened their alliance, leaving Evulz to take advantage of the situation and defeat both rivals.
