Basic Trope: A female character hides her large bust for whatever reason (generally from curious men or spiteful women)
- Straight: Alice is a shy girl who is very well-endowed and constantly gets teased, bullied, and/or harrassed by her peers because of her overdeveloped assets. Therefore, she deliberately hides them in order to avoid unpleasant situations.
- Exaggerated:
- Alice goes through incredible lengths to conceal her assets to the point where she deforms her breasts.
- Alice looks flat as a board in her casual attire, but when her clothes are removed, she turns out to have G-cup breasts.
- Downplayed:
- Alice appears to be completely flat-chested in her normal outfit, but while wearing a swimsuit, she has some noticeable curves.
- Alice seems flat while she's wearing a bra, but her chest is somewhere on the B-cup range; not really big, but still larger than people assume based on her outfits.
- Alice tries to cover her D-cup chest and successfully disguises it into... C-cup range breasts.
- Justified:
- In the past Alice, who was otherwise flirtatious, had been molested, so she hides her assets in order to avoid unwanted attention.
- Bobbi is very insecure about her underdeveloped assets, so to avoid making her envious, Alice hides her buxom figure beneath loose clothing.
- Alice is a busty young woman with shapeshifting powers: changing her bust size is an easy exercise for her.
- Alice is a Sweet Polly Oliver.
- "Actually, it's Allen, thank you."
- Inverted:
- Fake Boobs.
- Alice wears clothes that make her look more busty than she actually is.
- Subverted: Alice's large breasts hidden under loose clothing turns out to be Fake Boobs.
- Double Subverted: At least until it's learned she was hiding her real large breasts beneath tightly wrapped cloth.
- Parodied: Alice's breasts are larger than her head, and even when she's hiding them, she's still incredibly busty. The surprise comes when people find out her actual size.
- Zig-Zagged: Alice's bust size fluncuates throughout the series, but the changes are somewhat obscured by her tendancy to wear loose clothing. Sometimes she is genuinely flat chested, other times she has a large bust underneath her clothes.
- Averted: Alice doesn't hide her chest for any reason, or it's too large to hide.
- Enforced:
- Alice's actor doesn't want her chest being the center of attention, so she asks for a more concealing costume.
- Given the target age group, Standards & Practices would have a field day, if 'they' got attention.
- Lampshaded: "Wow. How'd you manage to hide those?"
- Invoked: Alice wears clothes that obscure her bust as a means to hide her identity, since her large bust is one of her most iconic attributes.
- Exploited: Alice uses her masculine look when hiding her chest to infiltrate male-only areas.
- Defied: Alice refuses to let the taunting get to her and proudly flaunts her chest.
- Discussed:Alice: Man, nobody ever pays attention to me unless it's to stare. Do you have any suggestions, Bob?
Bob: You could always try hiding them. - Conversed: "What reason would she have to do that?" "Probably to keep people from perving on her."
- Implied: Alice is never seen on screen, but people mention she could pass for an effeminate guy when hiding her chest.
- Deconstructed: Alice's attempts to make herself look flatter put a lot of stress on her lungs and ribcage.
