Mythology Gags in Rugrats from the first Rugrats series.
- In "Second Time Around," when Angelica diagnoses Chuckie with having "Wormy-oliosis", Chuckie brings up the time he swallowed a watermelon seed and he thought his stomach would explode.
- In "Lady De-Clutter", when Didi first tells Stu about the titular character who is going to help her de-clutter her house, Tommy takes off his diaper and tosses it out of the playpen.
- In "One Big Happy Family," when Angelica plays house and has Chuckie be her baby, she names him "Blaine".
- The car that Angelica temporarily drives in "No License to Drive" resembles the Reptar Wagon from The Rugrats Movie.
- "The Bubbe and Zayde Show" has a brief shot of Stu's text messages, including one sent to Charlotte asking what Angelica's favorite flavor of pudding is, subtly referencing the memetic "I've lost control of my life" scene from the original.
- In "The Big Diff", Tommy becomes dizzy when he puts on someone else's glasses, while Chuckie is unable to see very well without his. The episode also features a scene where Tommy and Chuckie run towards each other when they can just barely see each other.
- In "Mister Chuckie", Chuckie has a dream that he's an adult, essentially having his two-year-old head on an adult body.
- In "The Werewoof Hunter", Stu takes his family to Count Mucklehoney's legendary Halloween ball to try to show him his latest inventions. Later in the episode, the babies come across a room filled with Mr. Friend dolls.
- In "Chuckie Vs. the Vacuum", the babies believe that Chuckie defeated Bertha, Lou's old vacuum cleaner whom they see as a monster, which inspires Chuckie to be brave. One of the things Chuckie does in his montage is go down a slide. He later tries to do it backwards and blindfolded.
- In "Gone Teddy Gone", when Didi asks Lou about why his missing lucky pants are so lucky, he tells her that he wore them the day he met Trixie McGee.
- In "I, Baby", Susie believes Chuckie to be a robot after she sees a horror movie where scientists replace humans with robots. It even includes a scene where Susie tries to open Chuckie's chest with Tommy's screwdriver, much like Tommy tried to do with Stu with a plastic wrench.
- In "Phone Alone":
- When Angelica has the babies help her find the box that has her parents' phones in them, Chuckie and Susie find some VHS tapes with orange-colored shells, similar to the classic Nickelodeon VHS tapes produced in the 90s and 2000s (as opposed to the black shells VHS tapes typically have).
- Also in that episode, the song for the Cynthia Fan Favorite Giveaway contest that plays on Charlotte's phone is Cynthia, She's a Really Cool Dancer, which was played in "Angelica's Ballet" from the 1991 series.
- At the end of "House of Cardboard", when Chuckie talks to Tommy about decorating their new playhouse together, he suggests that they get some plants for it, but not dandelions, as he's allergic to them.
- In "Fluffy Moves In", Angelica asks her parents if she can have a baby brother or sister, much to the latter's shock.
- "Crossing the Anartic":
- This episode begins with Angelica pretending to have broken her leg.
- This episode has an Imagine Spot where the babies travel through the arctic.
- At one point, Phil and Lil try to eat a hockey puck, having mistaken it for a cookie.
- In "Tooth or Share", a framed picture of Howard can be seen on a bookshelf.
- In "Tot Springs Showdown", Simon shoves a popsicle down the back of Tommy's diaper, much like Prudence (A.K.A. "The Junk Food Kid") did in "Showdown at Teeter Totter Gulch".
- The plot of "Bottles Away" involves Didi trying to wean Tommy off his bottle. The same episode has an Imagine Spot where the babies pretend to be pirates.
- In "Extra Pickles", during a baby shower, Angelica tries to convince Tommy that his parents are going to forget about him once his new younger sibling is born.
- In "Rattled", one of the toys the babies try to get Dil to play with is the Mr. Friend doll.
- In "Miss Match", when Chas and Kira bond with each other, Chas is revealed to have the Neurosis board game.
- In "Baby Talk", Dr. Lipschitz's name can be seen on the box of Edwin's Junior Click and Pops building kit.
- "No Talking":
- The plot involves the babies being unable to understand Angelica when she's unable to talk.
- Angelica is shown to dislike coconut when she eats one of Susie's coconut-flavored granola bars.
- In "The Longest Playdate", a purple and white poodle that resembles Fifi appears being walked outside Betty's Beans.
- In "Uncle Jake's Day Out", Chuckie drives a pedal-powered red convertible.
- "Reptar's Mama" has the adults bring up Melinda, Chas' late wife. Unlike in the original series, which did everything short of saying she is deceased to indicate it (including showing her gravestone in the cemetery), Chas outright says that she passed away. It is also revealed in a flashback that Chuckie's Companion Cube (in this case, his Reptar doll) was a Tragic Keepsake from Melinda.
- "Breaking Begley" has Susie, having learned from her doctor mother how to be a good doctor, trying to fix a Cynthia doll with her and the babies as surgeons.
