  • In "Grandpa's Drum," Molly finds out that Grandpa Nat used to sing and play the drum, but he doesn't anymore because the boarding school teachers tried to take his culture away. Not only does she find and retrieve his drum based solely on a 70+ year-old photo, but she encourages him to play it once more at the tribal hall. Seeing Nat get his songs back will bring a smile to your face.
  • In "Lynx to the Past," Grandma Elizabeth tells Trini the Yup'ik lynx story to show why the Lynx Dance shouldn't be changed. Trini then decides to do the Lynx Dance at the spring fling after all, and adheres to the tradition perfectly. Elizabeth couldn't be prouder.
  • In "Molly of the Yukon," Molly is worried about not being able to catch a king salmon. Uncle Cliff cheers her up by showing her the little wonders of nature like birds, a beaver, and a river. He tells her not to miss out on the present by thinking too much about the future. Cliff says he loves his niece more than eating dried fish.
  • In "Home Made Heroes," Molly and Tooey create their own Alaska Native superheroes after noticing a lack of representation in the media. Everyone in the town loves their comic, and Oscar and Vera get inspired to create their own heroes as well. The four of them submit a combined character, Denali Defender, to a comic book contest...which wins!
  • In "Molly and the Snow Hawk," Molly fixes up her old sled so she can give it to Trini. Molly is hesitant about giving it away at first, but she ends up going through with the plan and making Trini very happy.
  • In "The Story of the Story Knife," Molly and the exchange student, Willow, get off to a rocky start, but they soon become close friends after Willow explains her Facial Dialogue tradition. Molly takes it upon herself to research story knives and carve a new one for Willow after she loses her old one. Willow eventually finds her old story knife, but she lets Molly have it so she can tell her own stories. Willow, initially a Shrinking Violet, hugs Molly.
  • In "Raven Saves the Birthday Party," Oscar wants to be a storyteller and tell his own raven-centered story. The others help the story go along and have a happy ending. Midge tells Oscar that this was a great birthday present, and she can't wait to hear more stories from him.
  • In "A Song for Lola", Vera's grandma Miranda comes to Qyah from the Philippines to visit, and Vera wants to honor her in some way as a surprise. The song that she and Molly eventually perform for her is really sweet and Miranda tells them that it's the best gift she's ever received.
  • In "Wise Raven and Old Crow," the Mabrays travel to the village of Old Crow to honor the deceased Grandma Catherine. Molly gets to learn about how Grandma Catherine helped her community. She keeps having dreams wherein Catherine tells her "I have something for you." The "something" turns out to be Catherine's old hide-tanning equipment. After that, Molly has a vision wherein she and Catherine embrace. Then, she gives a heartfelt speech.
Molly: I used to be sad because my grandma passed when I was little. But this trip made me realize that she's still here with us. Shitsuu Catherine inspired us to come here by boat, to be on our rivers, to see the Porcupine caribou, and to be here with all of you. Now I feel like I know her, and I'm going to do my best to learn our Gwich'in language and continue to take care of the land and animals, just like her.
