General

  • The relationship between Six and Mono is just pure heartwarming. Two kids alone in the world who learn to work with each other and develop a strong friendship to save everyone is absolutely adorable. Both end up saving the other multiple times from certain death. This all becomes tragically averted by the game's ending.
  • The game giving you a button to hold Six's hand with.

Main Game

Chapter One

  • In this game, you play a new character, Mono, but you aren't completely alone this time; you now partner up with Six. The two children team up and help each other throughout the game.
    • It's pretty cute that when Mono is about to fall from a certain height, Six is the one who grabs and saves him. She's also the one who offers to give Mono a boost whenever they run into something they both can't reach on their own.
  • When Mono hears Six's music box playing, he quickly looks for a tool to break the door down. Once it's down, he puts his hands up and slowly approaches her, even outstretching his hand towards her while whispering, "Hey, psst!"
    • Six runs away from Mono and then finds herself stuck when trying to pull a lever but realizes she's too light. She then sees Mono again who had been following her. At first, she's on her guard, but then seems to relax and greets him with a small "hi." This is the catalyst that starts off the two's partnership.
  • After hiding from the Huntsman, Six peeks out to make sure the coast is clear and offers Mono her hand which he takes. Just that there's a mechanic for you to hold your partner's hand is enough to make your heart melt and forget about the horror surrounding these kids.
  • Also pay attention to whenever Mono is thrown out of a television in the first few chapters, Six is actually the one pulling him out of it. Considering what lurks on the other side, that is certainly a life saver.
  • Whenever Mono is near Six, he can signal her by saying "Hey" or "Hi," which then prompts Six to follow him.

Chapter Two

  • After the locker falls onto Mono, he's unable to react. But once it's likely he hears Six being dragged off, he immediately uses all of his strength to lift the locker up so he can manage to roll out from under it.
  • Once Mono saves Six from the Bullies, she at first flinches, but Mono slowly and gently helps her up, and the song playing in this moment is titled "Togetherness 2." The one peaceful moment these two children share in such a chaotic and cruel world.
  • Six continues to show her cleverness when Mono tries to sneak up on a Bully, she immediately walks over the piano keys so her friend can get the drop on the Bully.
  • While the Teacher is demented as any other creature in the Little Nightmares world, the way she plays her piano almost makes it sound like she's just a normal person enjoying a hobby of hers.
  • Six finding her yellow raincoat. Many fans smiled in delight after Six puts on her coat, with the achievement even noting that this was Six's "True Colors."

Chapter Three

  • Just as the two are about to get through an area, a banging comes from a metal door, and Six immediately rushes over to try and stop the hand inside from coming out. While her venture is unsuccessful and it leaves Mono to fight off the hands, she then rushes towards the planks blocking their exit and desperately tries to pry them off. While Six may not be as helpful in a fight, she still looks out for Mono in whatever ways she can.
  • As the Doctor looks around from the ceiling, Six gives a small "shh" to Mono, but it's clear she's looking after Mono and signals to him when the coast is clear.
  • Six and Mono playing with the X-Ray machine. If left untouched, Six may wander near it and pull the lever down herself. Once she realizes what's going on, she runs over with toys and in a way, plays with the machine.

Chapter Four

  • Once Mono eventually unleashes the Thin Man from the television Six will try for a very long time to get Mono to grab her hand and to make a run for it with her even as it becomes increasingly clear the Thin Man is getting closer and closer to crossing over. Only once the Thin Man enters their room does she try to escape herself which seems to finally snap Mono out of his trance.
  • Right as Mono stumbles onto a tv with Six pounding the glass on the other side, he immediately tries to pull her out. However the Thin Man suddenly reaches through and snatches Six back in. Despite this, Mono presses onward to save her.
  • A secret achievement can occur in the mailroom where Mono can take a package and hand it to someone through the door.
  • Even her glitching remains, implied to be her soul is helpful towards Mono and guides him towards his final confrontation with the Thin Man.
  • After he manages to escape the Thin Man but suffers some injuries from the crashing train, Mono still presses on with glitch Six guiding him, even as he visibly limps to where he's being directed. Even if the next encounters kill him, he will save his friend.

Chapter Five

  • Six in her monstrous form initially doesn't do any harm to Mono. In fact, she merely swats him away when he gets too close, and she'll move out of the way when he calls to her. The last thing she does before she goes into a rage is showing Mono her music box, which is clearly precious to her and she wants her friend to enjoy it too.

Other

  • A Christmas tweet by the Little Nightmares Twitter account depicts Six warming her hands by a fire while Mono stands nearby.
    • Made slightly less heartwarming when you realize this is the part of the game where they can (possibly) burn the doctor alive in the cremation furnace.
