  • When Cale first meets Alberu, he purposefully lays the compliments on thick, making Alberu uncomfortable. Alberu later responds in kind. This becomes a Running Gag.
  • The only way for Cale to retrieve the full power of "Fire of Destruction" is to dump a crapton of silver into a pool of lava in order to create a road of silver to walk to his destination. Naturally, because the money's not his, he takes great pleasure in showing off all his wealth by throwing it down the drain all while laughing maniacally. It's only made funnier with the owner of the ancient power and Raon's differing reactions to the situation.
  • When Eruhaben, an ancient Dragon, who's Seen It All first mets Raon who's hardly your stereotypical Dragon cheerfully greets him with Cale and Choi Han standing in the background acting like a fight could break out at any moment.
Raon: I do not have a low IQ, I just have high sociability. I’m not like you, you socially awkward Golden Dragon who doesn’t even know how to shake hands.
  • Everyone's varied reactions to hearing Clopeh Sekka's explain his unbridled faith and belief that Cale's actually a god and his continued behavior after that.
Archie: Wow, damn, what cra-, I mean, what amazing thing you [Cale] did again.
  • Alberu learns exactly how difficult handling Choi Han and Mary can be without Cale around. Mary gets in a quarrel with three nobles who are trying to pressure her to take down Cale and join them for power instead. Thinking they were apart of ARM or the Indomitable Alliance they "mysteriously" fainted shortly after. Choi Han, on the other hand, tried to keep to himself but one of the noble son's questioned if he was really a Master Swordsman and challenged him to a match to which he refused until he insulted the Henituse household and promptly agreed to the match only to destroy the Palace's training ground in the process. Que Alberu burst out laughing after hearing the whole story.
  • Archie's silent horrified realization that Choi Han, Lock, and Rosalyn are much worse then him even in his most destructive delinquent years. He realizes this during the war where the original plan was to destroy one Palace, they went way overboard and obliterated two Palaces and a couple gardens as well.
  • Cale's dawning understanding that maybe he's not as lucky as he previously thought.
Cale: What’s so unlucky about me? I'm the eldest son of a Count, I'm rich, I am strong enough to not get beaten to death anywhere, well, I am a bit busy, but... And that business is making me famous- shit.
  • Cale's Heroic Self-Deprecation is pretty well-known and expected by now but it truly hits new limits after he received a letter from the God of Death and out of all of information he could have given them, he figured that telling them he was meant to die would be the least alarming thing to tell them all while accidentally setting off a bad misunderstanding.
