  • "Not Easy Being Green" has the family observe their Petpets devouring some green jelly. Komo comments that he bets they'll eat anything that's bright green; after a beat panel where everyone stares at the bright green Komo, the Petpets start trying to bite him and produce a Big Ball of Violence.
Claw: I told him he should've bought the starry paintbrush...
  • "The Origin of Barallus's Insanity" has Master Vex tell Komo about why the titular character went nuts: he saw the "unspeakable horror" of Lord Darigan in a bathrobe and wearing curlers and a facial.
  • In "Gone Fishing", Echo and Claw play a card game together. Echo thinks they're playing Go Fish, but it's actually the Neopets Collectible Card Game.
Claw: Echo, we're playing the Neopets TCG. We're not playing "Go Fish".
Echo: We're not? (Beat) Does this mean you don't have any 2's?
  • In "Frumball... as if!", Komo and Claw's game of catch goes awry when the ball phases through Claw, rolls next to the Esophagor, and is given away as a quest reward. According to Komo, this is the fourth time this has happened in a week.
  • Komo has some of his Neopoints stolen by a ghost in "A ghost cackles insanely...", only to realize the thief is his brother Claw taking his money to buy trading card booster packs.
  • In "Trophy Trouble", Komo breaks into the Mystery Island Training School to retrieve one of Claw's trophies, which happens to resemble the codestones used as payment by the school. Once he finds the trophy (which is represented by a photo of a rock), Komo realizes the horde of codestones is protected by an island-themed version of the Snowager and decides to train elsewhere from now on.
  • "A Spooky Christmas" reveals that Eliv Thade, Neopia's resident anagram master, sings Christmas carols as anagrams too. The Brain Tree whispers to his fellow carolers that if they think Thade's rendition of "Jingle Bells" is bad, his take on "The Twelve Days of Christmas" is worse.
    "Gijlne lelbs, gijlne lelbs..."
  • In "You have a new quest!" Komo gives a Fire Faerie the scarf she asked for, only for it to immediately burn up once she puts it on. After a beat panel of the two of them staring at the scarf's ashes, the Faerie asks Komo to go on another quest, presumably to get a replacement.
  • "HauntedClaw is very sad" has Claw end up in a jail cell due to Komo taping his picture onto a "Wanted!" Poster.
  • "Should've brought a net" has Echo serve ghost pancakes and haunted milk due to Claw requesting "a light breakfast", only for the food to float off the table and out the window.
  • "Overdue Spring cleaning" has Echo bring up that the last time they cleaned out the Safety Deposit Box, they forgot about Tombstones and shut him inside. Claw says they didn't forget about him; they just wanted a break from hearing Tombstones talk about scythe polish. Meanwhile, Tombstones is talking about exactly that.
  • Maybe if it also had bacon... has Tombstones object to the absence of bananas to use as a burger topping. When told they don't go on burgers, he asks if they've ever even tried it before biting into his banana burger. Tombstones then realizes the combined taste really is terrible, to nobody else's surprise.
  • "A Spooky Halloween" (Year 19 version):
    • Echo starts telling a Ghost Story at the campfire, only to get sidetracked when he incorporates his dream kitchen into the story.
Echo: The refrigerator was top of the line, and inside he found foods kept in nice, organized containers. It was like something out of a dream!
Komo: Guys, did Echo forget he was telling a scary story?
Echo: There were apples, and cornupeppers, and we need more milk...
Claw: Oh. Yeah. Now he's making a grocery list.
    • Claw's scary story contains an evil Uni chef, which Echo objects to because the chef's description sounds suspiciously like him. Claw reassures him that he isn't the chef, only to add even more details that match up with Echo's appearance.
Claw: He had absolutely no limbs, and a really doofy face...
      [Echo pouts]
  • "A Spooky Halloween" (Year 20 version): A Chocolate Ogrin asks Komo and Echo if they have any idea how rough it is being made of candy on Halloween. Komo says he kind of does due to a certain Haunted Woods tradition; the comic cuts to a panel of two zombies in unusually well-kept clothing trick-or-treating, with Echo offering them brains and complementing them on how alive they look while Komo nervously peeks out the window. Back in the present, both the Ogrin and Komo look queasy as Echo says he uses his own recipe to make the brains.
