Funny / Lola and Mr. Wrinkles

• The introduction of Hugo and his "emergency hugs." Mr. Wrinkles reacts with clear horror when he realizes what's about to happen and Hugo is so intent on "saving" the freezing "victim" that he's utterly, happily oblivious.
  Mr. Wrinkles: What?! No! Hugo, I'm not freezing to death!
  Hugo: I SAVE YOU!
  [Bear Hug, complete with Sickening "Crunch!"]
  Hugo: All better.
• Lola goes over to say "Merry Christmas" to Brutus and is near-instantly scared almost speechless. She excuses herself and huddles against a fence, muttering that Brutus looks like he breakfasts on nails. Mr. Wrinkles asks her about her earlier statement against judging a book by its cover and she instantly tells him to shut up.
• Lola's deadpan reaction when Hugo gets scared by a flying monster (really an owl) in the yard. Usually, she's the mischievous or kooky one, so seeing her in Mr. Wrinkles' position is amusing. To make it funnier, the owl that scares Hugo isn't even a great horned owl (despite Hugo's imagination making it look like a demonic version of such), but a Northern Saw-Whet, one of the smallest owls in America and the very image of a Cute Owl.
• Mr. Wrinkles comes over to see Brutus and ask him to intervene in Lola's latest escapade. It turns out that he told Lola there was a T-Rex skeleton buried in her backyard so she would stop bothering him. He thought she'd figure out on her own that she'd been had by this time, but Mr. Wrinkles dryly tells him that he ought to have known better. Lola doesn't believe Brutus even when she's told the truth, gloating that she is going to be the first dog to unearth T-Rex bones in spite of him...and then Pixie pops out of her digging site.
