• Adam uses medical marijuana to deal with the pain. Kyle's excuse for using it? "I have night blindness."
• Adam comparing getting patted by Katie to being "slapped by a sea otter"
• Kyle discovering Rachel cheating and he exclaims "I fucking nailed that cunt!", and the girl he'd been trying to pick up walks away in disgust. Later he says to Adam about the situation "I think I used too much profanity."
• Kyle busting Rachel in front of Adam after he catches her with another guy at an art exhibit.
  Kyle: (showing Adam his evidence on his iPhone) Exhibit...WHORE!!! ... Look at it! That's Rachel! And that's a fucking filthy Jesus-looking motherfucker! And they're kissing! I did it! I fuckin' nailed you! I hated you for months! And now I have fucking evidence that you suck as a person! Holy shit! Holy shit! Nothing? Nothing? Okay, you guys need to talk about this.
  • When Rachel is attempting to justify her actions and asks Adam how she's the bad guy when Kyle was the one exploiting Adam's cancer to pick up girls, the camera cuts to Kyle who delivers this line:
    Kyle: Because you're his girlfriend, you cheated on him, and he has fucking cancer, you lunatic!
• Adam's first session with Katherine where he notes how young she is.
  Adam: So what are you, like Doogie Houser?
  Katherine: Who?
  Adam: You know, the teenage doctor.
  Katherine: Does he work here?
• Kyle taking Adam to a night club to pick up girls. He tells Adam to bring up his cancer to get their attention, only to freak a girl out.
• While starting to come off of the drugs, Adam's goofy post-surgery Inane Blabbering.
  Adam: I'm high as a motherfucker.
  • Then Kyle having to nervously deny that he or Adam ever get high. To Mrs. Lerner.
• Katherine coming to visit Adam as he's staying in the hospital for recovery after a successful operation. Being able to see Adam that carefree after spending a good amount of the film so withdrawn would normally be a CMOH, but doubles as a CMOF due to him being high on morphine.
  Adam: I want to make you pancakes sometime.
  • And after sharing a touching bedside moment together, what are the first words that come out of his mouth?
  Adam: I'm peeing right now.
• Even the night before surgery, Adam can't help but gently call Katherine on stalking her ex on Facebook.
  Adam: What were you doing when I called? Were you on Facebook?
  Katherine: (''making a face that says "I'll let you have that one") You know...stalking my ex boyfriend isn't the only thing I do in my free time.
• Adam meeting the elderly Alan and Mitch during his first chemo session and how they instantly hit it off; the laid-back much older gentlemen conversing with the well-behaved newcomer and giving him their guidance. Alan first offers Adam some macaroons, which Adam politely declines. The older gentleman leans over to whisper how there's weed in them. Again, Adam thanks him, but turns him down on account of he doesn't do weed. Alan's exasperated response is hilarious.
  Alan: Come on, man, just get high with us.
