Fridge Brilliance

  • For some readers, Frollo speaking with a French accent seems like it comes out of nowhere. But then it makes sense when you remember that Hunchback of Notre Dame takes place in France.
  • In Book 7, Sabor is always called "the Sabor," no mention of her gender is brought up, the pronouns used are "it" and "its." At first this seems rather jarring, but then I remembered that this version of Sabor is a Living Statue. They're talking about an animated sculpture so they're more concerned with not being eaten than the character's actual gender, so they just refer to the statue using "it" and "its."
  • At first, the lack of security at night is inaccurate because there's always workers at night cleaning up and what have you. If there were security at night in the books, then a large part of the novels can't happen and there wouldn't be any drama (although given how powerful the Disney Villains are, it's unlikely security could've stopped them!). The same thing goes for no Coordinators or Managers to keep up the feeling of "something's not right" when the protagonists see Disney characters where they're not supposed to be.

Fridge Horror

  • The reveal that Storey Ming is actually Ursula suddenly makes all of the Ship Tease between her and the male Kingdom Keepers in Books five and six seem eerily reminiscent of how she used Ariel's voice to hypnotize Eric in The Little Mermaid.
  • So, everything in the parks comes to life after dark? What about the Xenomorphs in the Great Movie Ride? Maybe it's a good thing Ridley's never mentioned them...

Fridge Logic

  • In the seventh book, Rapunzel still has her magical long blonde hair, despite it being cut off at the end of the film she was in.
    • Though, as she's a character at a theme park, it makes sense they'd depict her as she appeared during most of the film.
