Fridge Brilliance

  • A common criticism for the Batman: Hush storyline is that Batman the Silenced's costume resembles that of Hush in the main DC continuity without the same impetus for the convergence in design. However, this design choice makes perfect sense when you realize that since Bruce is all but locked up in Arkham, he wouldn't have much access to the outside world in order to buy or otherwise obtain materials through conventional means, forcing him to scrounge up whatever he could find, particularly straitjackets, fabric, and bandages, and incorporate that into his costume. And where are all of these items found? All around the asylum! For bonus points, we don't see Bruce wear the utility belt most Batmen are known for until his final appearance standing over the Gray Sons, meaning that he likely stole one of their belts at patched it into his costume.

Fridge Horror

  • The stories set in the Dark Universe (especially since how Batman's fears has spawned the Dark Batmen during the events of Dark Nights: Metal) shows how one small change/decision/event can change the course of history for the worst. Considering this aspect in the Dark Multiverse always ends up the worst way possible, think about your most precious moments in life, and consider what events would've happen if you just let it slide or make an alternative decision, how would you feel or live in that world you just endured?
  • Whatever happened to rest of the Justice League in Knightfall? Sooner of later they'll recognise what is going on in Gotham and they'll try to intervene either Saint Batman or the newly freed Batman (AKA: The Broken). Did they forget Batman's current status?, or did they try to intervene either of the two and failed to save Gotham?
    • According to Tempus Fuginaut, the world outside Gotham apparently tore itself apart while the city was cut off in order to prevent sharing of its resources. If taken his word for it, it may have implied that the Justice League failed to protect their respective cities.

Fridge Logic

  • How the hell is there a Dark Multiverse version of an invasion by the Dark Multiverse? Is there a Dark Dark Multiverse?
    • The Dark Matter Multiverse is exponentially larger than the known matter DC Multiverse. When the known matter multiverse became infinite the dark matter multiverse would become a higher degree of infinite in response. Since the dark matter multiverse is the dreams of the known matter multiverse, specifically the nightmares, it might not even take an infinite expansion. Just someone from the known matter multiverse having a dream about being in the dark matter multiverse and that dream becoming a nightmare would be enough. Doesn't have to make more sense, dreams usually don't. There really should be some Logic Bomb weakness to things originating from dark matter multiverse though, especially when it starts getting recursive.
